00:00On Thursday, the Venezuelan Attorney General Tarek William Saab offered statements on the
00:04case of former presidential candidate for the far-right opposition Edmundo González
00:09Urrutia.
00:10In this regard, Saab informed that during his meeting with González Urrutia's lawyer
00:14José Vicente Aro, presented a letter acknowledging the Venezuelan justice system but denied direct
00:21links to the crimes.
00:22The Attorney General ratified the three summons issued for the former candidate and pointed
00:27out that González validated the false website where images of tally sheets of the presidential
00:33elections of July 28 were shown.
00:37In addition, the prosecutor's office has reportedly opened a criminal investigation
00:41to determine the responsibility of those who threatened to assassinate the prosecutor working
00:47on the case of the Minots presented by the extreme right.
00:50Furthermore, the Attorney General affirmed that González Urrutia was an excuse of the
00:55radical Venezuelan opposition to fill the country with violence.
01:04In this regard, as we have informed you, the public prosecutor's office ratifies the summons
01:09with the arrest warrant in progress for Mr. González Urrutia to be interviewed, and it
01:14ratifies that he is requested and must appear and brought to court abided by the Constitution
01:18and the law.
