00:00Now it's the sit down with Jamie Lynn Siegler.
00:02Hi, Jamie.
00:03You've had a rollercoaster of a summer, to say the least.
00:06First off, how's everyone doing, including you?
00:09Thank you, thank you for asking.
00:10We're all doing well.
00:11I think we're on the other side of a lot of things.
00:14We've had so much love and so much support
00:18and so much life happen,
00:21but I think that we are stronger and better for it
00:24and brighter days are ahead.
00:28As a mom with multiple kids,
00:29how do you keep your peace of mind?
00:31Any tips for any parents out there?
00:33Ever since we've had Alexa Emergency Assist,
00:36I think the peace of mind that it's given my family
00:40and my children, knowing that you can get quick
00:43and personalized help at any moment,
00:45just by literally saying, Alexa, call for help,
00:48has been a game changer for us.
00:49One of my kids has very, very severe allergies
00:52to certain medications.
00:53So knowing that all of that information
00:55would be given to a first responder,
00:57where we live, contacting all of our emergency contacts
01:01for us if we need, which could include me if I'm not home.
01:04Like I said, given us as a family, a peace of mind,
01:06but also really empowered my kids
01:07that they have the confidence
01:08that they would know what to do.
01:10You've called your MS diagnosis almost a superpower.
01:13What life lessons has MS taught you
01:15that you now find yourself passing down to your boys?
01:18No, life will continue to happen.
01:20The unexpected will continue to happen,
01:22but the things that happen to us don't define us.
01:25They don't mean that life needs to put on hold.
01:28It doesn't mean that you're not capable
01:30of still achieving your dreams.
01:32That sometimes you need to pivot.
01:34Sometimes you need to adjust.
01:36I've allowed my kids to witness that.
01:38In turn, they are more aware.
01:40I think they're more empathetic to other people
01:43and what they're going through.
01:45But they also remind me of my own strength
01:47and what I'm accomplishing and being capable of.
01:50Having my kids support and having them remind me
01:53that I am just like every other mom,
01:56even if I don't feel like I am physically,
02:00has just been really, just really wonderful
02:03and allowed us to have more,
02:06maybe deeper conversations than we would have otherwise.
02:10I'm limited in certain ways,
02:12but I think it's also allowed me
02:14to have a different view of life
02:16that I wouldn't have without it.
02:18We are huge fans of Christina Applegate here at People Mag.
02:21Tell us something that we don't know about her.
02:24Well, I mean, you all know how funny she is.
02:26Oh.
02:27I'm so happy you're okay.
02:28Oh God, maybe the hugging's gonna kill me.
02:30Sorry.
02:31Oh, it's okay.
02:32I love you.
02:33I love you too.
02:33She is the most loving and supportive friend.
02:36I mean, she is there for you for whatever you need.
02:39She has got your back.
02:41She's an awesome friend.
02:45In just a couple of weeks,
02:46it'll be 20 years since the Sopranos won the Emmy
02:49for Outstanding Drama Series for the first time.
02:51You were there in the most gorgeous green gown.
02:54What do you remember about that night?
02:55My God, that was like one of my favorite,
02:57like it was Monique Lulier.
02:59It was like, you know, it was the summer.
03:01I had a tan going on.
03:02It all worked.
03:04But that was an incredibly special night.
03:06Anytime we went to those award shows,
03:08they were always so special.
03:11Not because you were at an award show.
03:13We would all fly to LA together.
03:14We would all be in a hotel together.
03:16We would all ride to the awards in the limos together.
03:19It was really just about us celebrating
03:22what we were doing as a group.
03:24It was our time to celebrate the show,
03:27each other, bond, hang out,
03:30in ways that we just couldn't do
03:31when we were filming back at home.
03:32So to me, I cherished all the Emmys and the Golden Globes
03:36and all of those because it was just,
03:38they were my favorite memories
03:40of us just sort of letting loose and partying
03:42and being able to celebrate what we got to be a part of
03:46in a really, really special way.
03:48Do the constant new waves of Sopranos fans
03:50still surprise you?
03:51What do you think James Gandolfini would make of it?
03:53Oh my God, he'd probably be loving it
03:57and bothered by it all at the same time
03:58because he was such an incredible actor
04:03and the discipline and the respect that he had
04:05for being an actor was just unmatched.
04:10But also he hated being famous.
04:12I could feel his struggle with the fame of it all,
04:16but also loving what he did so much.
04:19There's two Tony Sopranos.
04:21You've never seen the other one.
04:23That's the one I wanna show to you.
04:25Okay, we're gonna put 10 seconds on the clock.
04:27Promote any one of your current projects.
04:29Ready? Go.
