The Italian premier has not yet asked Sangiuliano to resign, but she has said an investigation was ongoing.

00:00In a tearful interview, Italy's culture minister, Gennaro Sangiuliano, confessed to having had an affair with influencer Maria Rosario Boccia.
00:11He had also nominated her as his advisor for major events, which Boccia shared in a post on Instagram.
00:18He apologized to the government, his collaborators and his wife, saying Boccia's nomination has since been revoked.
00:26He also expressed willingness to resign should it be sought by Italian Prime Minister, Giorgio Maloney.
