00:00What made you want to join Dancing with the Stars, or be a part of this season in particular?
00:05I have gotten that call before, and I feel like it was the first season, and then different seasons it kept coming up,
00:14and I was like, oh, I'm such a huge fan of the show. I've watched it for 32 seasons, so I always wanted to say yes.
00:22I'm like, I want to be that girl, but I was so terrified, I always said no, and I was really bummed about it.
00:28And this year, with the past year I've had, I was like, you know what, I need to face my fears,
00:34and doing this show would be one of my greatest fears in life, so I said yes.
00:39Well, how have rehearsals been going so far for both of you guys?
00:42Good. We just started. We had two rehearsals so far, and for me, I'm just super impressed how Tori,
00:50considering how much she has on her plate, five kids, and she just shows up, and for those four hours,
00:58she's fully committed, you know? She's there, she's focused, she's working hard, and I mean,
01:04I cannot ask for anything more than that, so I'm super grateful, and I'm super excited to see where it's going to take us.
01:11Yeah, absolutely. How would you describe your dance skills or dance level on a scale from one to ten?
01:16Are there strengths, weaknesses that you want to work on?
01:20Oh boy. What did I say the first time? I was like, dance skills. I don't know, like in my 20s,
01:30like dancing at a club, like drinking, like cool, look at me.
01:37Dancing on tables. We can work that into a dance routine, right?
01:40Dancing on tables? Yeah, I've done that, and now I would equate it to dancing like in my kitchen and living room with my kids,
01:47like it went from clubs to like kitchen after dinner with kids, but that's okay. I'm not ashamed.
01:53Love that pipeline.
01:54Yeah, that's good. I love to dance, actually. I love the feeling behind dancing.
02:00I feel like I am not great at formal dance techniques and moves and learning choreography.
02:08I've had to do it in movies and TV shows before, and it's a struggle, so yeah.
02:14That's probably, and I'm really in my own head. I tell myself I can't do it. I can't do it, so.
02:20What are things that you do to kind of like get out of your head?
02:23Because I know like show night, like everything's live. It could be easy to kind of like get kind of like trapped in your head.
02:30Just do it. I mean, I feel like I'm here for a reason, and I am the type of person, I have a really strong work and play and life ethic,
02:41and I just, when I, once I commit to something, I commit 100%. Bad or good.
02:48Is there a song or an artist that you're looking forward to hopefully dancing to this season?
02:55I don't know. I mean, there's so many. Well, I have like artists I love, and then I have artists my kids are like,
03:02oh, you have to dance to this, mom, and I'm like, I don't know if I can do it.
03:05Who's an artist that your kids are like, we want you to dance with?
03:08I can't say, because it might be something we're dancing to, but.
