00:00Happy Thursday to all of us, I am Benison Estareja.
00:04Before we move on to our weather forecast, let us first know our update regarding the potential storms that will enter our Philippine Area of Responsibility in the next two weeks.
00:15Over this weekend until Monday, it is possible that there will be a low-pressure area in the bay of Luzon in the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:24It is expected to move to the north and northeast.
00:27It will gradually move away from our mainland.
00:29This means that there will be minimal enhancement in the bay by next week, especially on Monday and Tuesday.
00:37Meanwhile, over this weekend until Monday, it is possible that there will be a low-pressure area here in the northeast of Guam.
00:45It will move to the north or to the left until it gets closer to our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:55Meanwhile, starting on Wednesday, it is possible that there will be a low-pressure area in the so-called low-pressure area.
01:01It is possible that there will be a storm that will enter our Philippine Area of Responsibility later next week.
01:06If there is a storm, like this weather disturbance up there, we will call it Ferdie and Henner.
01:16This possible storm will move to the north and northeast.
01:19This means that there is still a low chance that it will hit our mainland.
01:24However, we can see here in our potential track of this weather disturbance that it will move to the south later next week.
01:32This track of weather disturbances that we are monitoring is still possible to change.
01:36So, stay tuned for our updates.
01:40Meanwhile, the rainy season continues here in the eastern part of Luzon.
01:45This is the effect of the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat that Typhoon Yagi is still affecting.
01:51It was a typhoon before and it is slowly moving away from our mainland.
01:55However, we can still see the outer cloud bands of Typhoon Yagi.
01:59It is still raining in a large part of western Luzon.
02:03Meanwhile, we have witnessed a low-pressure area outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
02:08However, it is not visible that it will be a typhoon and it will be stationary there.
02:13Meanwhile, we are continuously monitoring the cloud clusters or cloud pools here in the eastern part of Luzon.
02:19Because of this, it is possible that there will be a low-pressure area with a potential typhoon by early next week.
02:26For now, we have a high orange warning as early as 5 in the morning.
02:31Intense rains will continue over Zambales and Bataan.
02:35The chances of flooding and landslides are still high.
02:38Meanwhile, we still have a yellow warning or heavy rains from 5 in the morning until 8 in the morning
02:44over the provinces of Pampanga, Tarlac, Bulacan, Cavite, Rizal, and Metro Manila.
02:54Today, the chances of rain will be the highest in the next 12 hours.
02:58Here in Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro,
03:03monsoon rains will continue until later in the evening.
03:09However, beware of heavy rains that can cause floods and landslides.
03:15We also have occasional rains in the nearby areas of Central Luzon and Calabarzon.
03:23This includes Pampanga, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Metro Manila, and almost the entire Calabarzon
03:31except here in Quezon Province, as well as in the areas of Oriental Mindoro.
03:36Expect occasional rains that can cause floods and landslides
03:40while there are heavy rains and thunderstorms over the province of Aurora, as well as Quezon,
03:46Marinduque, Romblon, Ilocos, and Cordillera regions
03:52due to the trough or outer rain bands of Baguio-Yagi, formerly known as Baguio-Enteng.
03:58Meanwhile, in Cagayan Valley and Bicol Region for today,
04:01expect heavy rains and thunderstorms that can cause floods and landslides
04:09especially in the afternoon and evening.
04:11The temperature in Metro Manila is not yet warm, from 25 to 28 degrees Celsius.
04:17There are also many areas in the western sections of Luzon that are not yet warm
04:22while on the other side, over Legazpi and Tuguegarao,
04:25the maximum air temperature is possible up to 32 degrees Celsius.
04:30For our fellowmen in Palawan, the northern portion is still heavily affected
04:34including Cuyo, Calamian, and Cagayan Silvio Islands
04:38so be careful of floods and landslides there.
04:41The northern portion of Palawan also has a high chance of rain
04:44in the afternoon and evening.
04:46For our fellowmen in Visayas, before noon,
04:49there are chances of rain in the western Visayas and Negros Island Region
04:54which is also heavily affected.
04:56While throughout the day, in the northern part of Visayas,
04:59it is partly cloudy until the sky is cloudy
05:02and there are also chances of rain in the central Visayas and eastern Visayas
05:07until the afternoon.
05:09Our temperature in Metro Cebu is from 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.
05:14And for our fellowmen in Mindanao,
05:16the weather conditions will continue to be fair for almost the whole day
05:20which means it is partly cloudy and the sky is usually sunny.
05:23There is only a chance of heat in the afternoon
05:26and it is also accompanied by heavy rains or landslides
05:30that last for one to two hours
05:32more often in Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao and Caraga Region.
05:37Our temperature in Metro Davao and Zamboanga City
05:40is possible up to 33 degrees Celsius.
05:44Because of the strong winds,
05:46we still have high waves.
05:48Here in the western seaboard of Luzon,
05:51we have a gale warning and high waves are possible
05:54up to four and a half meters
05:57or up to one and a half meters above the waves
06:01here in Ilocos Norte,
06:03below Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan,
06:06as well as in Zambales, Bataan,
06:08western coast of Occidental Mindoro,
06:11as well as in Lubang Island
06:13and in Calamian Islands here in Northern Palawan.
06:16So there is a tendency that we will still suspend sea travel
06:20especially to small sea vehicles here in these areas
06:23within two days
06:25while the rest of the country
06:27is allowed to have moderate to high waves.
06:32And for our three-day weather forecast,
06:34for tomorrow, September 6,
06:36the rains will be reduced in a large part of Luzon
06:39but there will still be occasional rains
06:42or sometimes there will be strong rains
06:44here in Zambales, Bataan,
06:46below Cavite, Batangas and Occidental Mindoro.
06:50So make sure that we have an umbrella.
06:52We also have scattered rains and thunderstorms by tomorrow
06:55over Metro Manila
06:56so we will have fewer chances of rain.
06:59Actually, this will only start later tonight.
07:02The rain will be drastically reduced.
07:05The same goes for Ilocos Region,
07:07Cordillera Region,
07:08the remaining part of Central Luzon,
07:10rest of Calabarzon and northern part of Palawan
07:13will be tomorrow.
07:15Meanwhile, over the weekend,
07:17that's September 7 to September 8,
07:20the weather will be better in a large part of our country.
07:24There are still areas,
07:25knowing that the outer cloud bands of Baguio-Yagi
07:28will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms
07:32in Ilocos Region, Zambales,
07:34Bataan, Cavite and Batangas.
07:36While the remaining part of Luzon
07:38will improve the weather,
07:40it will be more sunny
07:42and there will be fewer chances of continuous rains
07:45or localized thunderstorms
07:47while the fair weather conditions continue
07:50in Visayas and Mindanao.
07:52But again,
07:53it is possible that a low-pressure area will form
07:56in the northern part of Luzon
07:58with the potential for a thunderstorm
08:00and a slight enhancement of thunderstorms
08:04in the western part of Luzon.
08:07Our sunrise is still 5.44 am
08:10and sunset is 6.05 pm.
08:13That's the latest from the Weather Forecasting Center of Pagasa.
08:16I'm Benison Estareja.
08:18Take care!
