00:00England Test Cricket head coach Brendan McCullum is to take over control of England's white
00:06ball coaching from January, following the departure of Matthew Mott from the position
00:11after England failed to defend their T20 World Cup crown in the summer, as well as not reclaiming
00:16the ODI World Cup.
00:18As head coach of the red ball side, McCullum's England have won 19 of their last 28 Test
00:23matches, having won just one of the 17 before he came in, under the philosophy of bars ball.
00:30This aggressive style of play has revolutionised the Test side and will now attempt to make
00:34both the T20 and ODI sides world champions once again.
00:38From now until January, Marcus Trescothick will serve as interim head coach for the upcoming
00:43short format series against Australia and the West Indies later this year.
00:48The England men's director of cricket, Rob Key, was said to be delighted that McCullum
00:52has chosen to take over the white ball role, and was excited at the prospect of all three
00:57teams being aligned in the philosophy.
