Norwegian princess marries self-styled ‘shaman’

Princess Märtha Louise, the eldest child of Norway’s King Harald V, has married an American self-styled ‘shaman’ in a ceremony following three days of official festivities. The couple have already sold the wedding photo rights to British celebrity magazine Hello! and the film rights to Netflix, sparking backlash in Norway over perceived abuse of royal status.

This is not the first time the couple have attracted controversy. Märtha Louise lost the ‘Royal Highness’ title in 2002 over concerns she was using her constitutional role to advance her business interests. She is a self-styled ‘clairvoyant’ and previously ran an ‘angel school’ that helped clients communicate with the dead.

Her new husband, Durek Verrett, is from San Francisco, but claims to be a sixth generation ‘shaman’ of Haitian descent. He describes himself as a ‘servant of God’ and an ‘energy activator.’ During the Covid pandemic, he sold ‘spirit optimizer’ medallions for around $260 on his website, which he claimed would ward off the virus. He has also claimed that casual sex causes spirits to occupy a woman’s vagina.

Märtha Louise has blamed ‘racism’ for the controversy surrounding her husband. Yes it’s definitely racism, and nothing at all to do with Covid medallions and haunted vaginas.
