00:00With Oasis announcing that they are once again getting back together,
00:04son and screw artist Darren Timmy has created a replication here using 13,000 screws
00:10of a famous picture of the brothers taken in the 1990s.
00:16Okay then Darren, so what inspired you to create this piece about Oasis?
00:20Well, Oasis were my favourite band of the 90s. I think, as with millions of others,
00:27I hoped that they would get back together in recent years and unbelievably they have,
00:37and I just thought it was the perfect time to showcase what I've done as my intentions were
00:43always to try and bring them back together metaphorically on canvas.
00:49I understand it's a famous picture from the 90s, is that right?
00:52It is, yes.
00:53And how many screws were involved in this one then?
00:5513,500 in this one.
00:58And in terms of Oasis tracks, have you had them played as you were creating this?
01:01Oh yeah, as with all my other subjects that I do, I always try and
01:07play the soundtrack from that subject, so it was great to put all the bass sides on,
01:14the original singles, Around Our Way, Aquius, Columbia, my favourite track, just
01:20flashing memories come back, you know, when you're working on these things,
01:24especially to the music, so that was great.
01:27I know like a lot of people you couldn't manage to get a ticket at the weekend,
01:30but you still hopefully maybe get into a gig?
01:33Yes, I did try, hopefully if I get a sale from this piece I might be able to afford the tickets,
01:41but I did intend to try and get a couple of gigs to just showcase it to the crowd,
01:47people going into the stadiums and the parks, so hopefully the Manchester one, that'll work out.
