00:15Chet shuts off the lights and prepares for bed while Todd discovers a hidden men's magazine
00:19under his brother's bed and starts flipping through it.
00:22He asks Chet about it but Chet snatches the magazine from him and hides it under his pillow.
00:27With no choice left, Todd lies down next to his brother and pretends to sleep.
00:31He then slowly pulls out the magazine from under Chet's pillow and starts flipping

00:36As soon as Chet notices this, he once again tries to snatch the magazine from his brother.
00:40However, Todd manages to hold onto the magazine tightly and jumps off the bed.
00:45As he is flipping through it, that homophobic father bursts through the door and asks them
00:49why they have been creating so much noise.
00:52When he notices the magazine in Todd's hands, he snatches it from him and takes him out
00:56of the room to punish him.
00:58Years later, a grown-up Chet is woken up early in the morning by the sound of a horn blaring
01:02in his front yard.
01:03He notices that the thrift store employees have arrived and gets up to let them in.
01:07The men package up his father's belongings since he had passed away three months ago.
01:12When one of the employees sees him looking sad, he pats him on the shoulder and tells
01:15him that they can come back when he is ready.
01:18However, Chet insists that he is fine since it has already been three months.
01:22The employee assures him that it takes time to move on.
01:25Once they are done packing everything, the employee gets Chet to sign a document before
01:29he turns to leave.
01:30Chet takes this as a sign and tries to ask him out but the man turns down his offer to
01:34buy him a drink.
01:36Chet then goes to his father's hardware store, where he is now managing and helps an elderly
01:40man find the equipment he needs.
01:42At the cash register, the man tells Chet that he should start thinking about starting a
01:46family but Chet ignores this and moves on.
01:49That night, he eats his dinner alone but is unable to stop thinking about his father.
01:53He finds himself staring at his urn but quickly turns it away.
01:56He gets a flashback from the day he found Todd playing with a doll.

02:34Back in town, Chet is shopping at a supermarket when he runs into his high school crush, Brandon.
02:39The two of them catch up and Brandon reveals that he is in town for the next few weeks
02:43since his mother had a stroke.
02:44Before he leaves, he exchanges numbers with Chet and makes him promise to call him.
02:49When Chet gets home from work that night, Todd appears behind him and surprises him.
02:53Although he is shocked to see his little brother back, Chet welcomes Todd back into their house
02:58and even takes him to meet Anne, a close family friend of theirs who handles the cash register

04:43He then asks Todd to go to the hardware store with him in the morning so that he can see

04:48After much persuasion, Todd agrees to accompany him.
04:51As expected, Todd is late and while Chet waits for his younger brother to get ready, he receives
04:56a text message from Brandon, asking to meet him at a club for drinks later that day.
05:00At work, Chet handles the cash register while Todd helps the customers.
05:05He flirts with the customers and manages to get higher sales than usual.
05:09As they are closing up, Chet tells Todd that Brandon has reached out to him and wonders
05:13if he is gay.
05:14But Todd is sure that Brandon is gay and is hitting on Chet.
05:17Later that evening, Chet and Todd attend a bonfire hosted by their friends.
05:21They catch up with some of their old friends who tell Todd that he has managed to drag
05:25his older brother away from his job.
05:27By the time it gets dark, a man named Hank mocks Todd by saying that all of the gay people
05:32from LA should be tied.
05:34His joke doesn't land very well and things get a bit awkward.
05:37To make matters worse, his girlfriend Melissa who used to be Todd's best friend comes up
05:41to him and starts flirting.
05:43This does not sit well with Hank and he threatens to beat Todd who gets angry as well.
05:47Todd reveals that he had told Melissa his secret in high school and she had told a boyfriend
05:51who beat him up along with his friends.
05:53Before things can escalate, Chet tries to diffuse the situation and apologizes to everyone
05:58before leaving with Todd.
05:59At home, he tries to reason with Todd but he refuses to hold a conversation and strips
06:04down in front of Chet, ending the conversation before it could start.
06:07The next morning a woman walks into the hardware store and asks to buy material.
06:12As he is helping her, Todd notices her snatching a doll away from her son and telling him to
06:16play with his boy toys.
06:18Since he had experienced something similar when he was younger, Todd tells the woman
06:21to let her child play with the doll.
06:23He even goes as far as to say that his son might be gay.
06:27Horrified, the woman leaves the store and promises to never return.
06:31On the other hand, Chet goes on a date with Brandon but it gets awkward as Brandon starts
06:35telling him an irrelevant story.
06:37Seeing Chet's face, Brandon confesses that he felt bad about ignoring him when they were
06:41younger since he did not feel ready to come out as gay.
06:44Chet then tells him that it was hard for him to make the move as well.
06:48Soon their date ends and Chet bids Brandon goodbye after telling him that he does not
06:51have to go out with him out of obligation.
06:54Once he returns home, a sexually frustrated Chet starts jerking off in his bathroom when

08:09Finally feeling confident enough, Chet tells the old man to send eligible bachelors his

08:14This shuts the old man up who then proceeds to pay for his materials and leave without
08:18saying anything else.
08:20When Chet returns home, he finds Todd dancing in the fields and asks him if he can cook
08:24dinner for him and Brandon who he had invited over that night.
08:28The dinner goes well as Todd cooks them a nice meal.
08:30Things begin to get a little serious when Brandon asks them about their mother, only
08:34to find out that she left when they were very young.
08:37To lighten the mood, Todd suggests that they should smoke a joint.
08:40As they share a joint, Todd sings them a song that their father used to sing before heading
08:44up to the roof.
08:45Chet and Brandon follow him as he starts undressing.
08:48Chet leaves to use the bathroom while Todd flirts with Brandon.
08:51Just as Chet enters the room, he notices Todd kissing Brandon.
08:55Although Brandon breaks the kiss quickly, Todd becomes upset and heads to the kitchen.

10:43On Christmas Eve, Todd and Chet join their friends for their Christmas party when Brandon
10:48shows up there as well.

10:55Suddenly, Chet kisses him and the two of them make out until it is time for them to open

11:00Later that night, Chet and Todd end up alone where Todd tells him that his friend Lucas
11:04contacted him and asked him to join him in backpacking Portland.
11:08Chet confesses that Brandon invited him to New York and Todd encourages him to join his
11:12boyfriend.
11:13As Todd leaves, Chet gets another flashback of their father cooking them a Christmas meal
11:17when they were younger.
11:19When the two brothers start fighting over food, their father tells them that they are
11:22brothers and they need to take care of each other.
11:24At the end of the movie, Chet and Todd finally spread their father's ashes over the creek
11:28together, just like their father wanted.
