00:00You have done well, Lord Vader, and now I sense you wish to continue your search for young Skywalker.
00:08Yes, my master.
00:10Welcome to Mojo Plays, and today we're taking a look at the 10 coolest easter eggs
00:15hidden across the Star Wars games.
00:18Boba! Boba! Look and slip, buddy!
00:24Before we begin, we publish new videos all week long, so be sure to subscribe to Mojo Plays
00:28and ring the bell to be notified about our latest videos.
00:33Indiana Jones, Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga.
00:37He has become known as the greatest adventure hero of all time, but next year...
00:48Want to trade your lightsaber for a whip and dusty fedora?
00:51Well, it may sound like an odd choice to make when playing a Star Wars game,
00:54but Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga does have that option.
00:58Yes, you can play as the famed adventurer Indiana Jones,
01:02and it does not require a ton of effort to unlock him.
01:05All you have to do is wander into the bonus room of the cantina
01:08and watch the trailer for Lego Indiana Jones The Original Adventures.
01:12Afterwards, you can purchase him for a somewhat fair price of 50,000 studs.
01:23A high price for a famous head, Star Wars Jedi Survivor.
01:28Last chance, Cage!
01:30Walk away.
01:30One of the coolest parts of Jedi Survivor is the ability to hunt down the bounty hunters.
01:35You have 17 of them to hunt down across a multitude of planets,
01:39and yes, the task may seem daunting to some.
01:42However, there is an unexpected appearance from someone should you take every one of them down.
01:47Upon defeating the final one, the most notorious bounty hunter in the galaxy will arrive.
01:52Sadly, Boba Fett is only here for his cameo and nothing else.
01:56He does say something rather ominous to Cal though,
01:59something that may hint at his return in a future title.
02:03Now it feels good not to be the target for once.
02:05You have no idea how valuable this woman is.
02:10Mara Jade Skywalker, Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds.
02:14A long time have I watched the man called Darth Vader from the darkness,
02:19from the shadows of my master's chambers.
02:22At the start of a game, you may have not had much reason to look around the map.
02:26After all, you kind of need units to wander around and explore
02:29to know what's happening in certain areas.
02:31But enter in some specific cheat codes,
02:34and you might be able to spot a mysterious woman in a far-off corner of one of the maps.
02:39This woman is none other than Mara Jade Skywalker,
02:42a Sith who worked for the Empire before defecting and becoming a Jedi Master.
02:47Mara is a character who has only appeared in Star Wars books and radio dramas,
02:52as well as a few non-canon appearances in video games.
02:55Galactic Battlegrounds was one of those rare appearances,
02:58and not only does she narrate Darth Vader's campaign,
03:01she is also a unit you can recruit in custom scenarios.
03:09Guybrush Threepwood, Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2.
03:13But nobody wants to risk lives making small hit-and-run attacks either.
03:18Juno keeps pushing them to do something.
03:21Many Star Wars games pay tribute to various LucasArts properties,
03:24just as we saw with Indiana Jones and LEGO Star Wars.
03:28But one crossover we would have never anticipated was Star Wars and Monkey Island.
03:34In The Force Unleashed 2, you can find a room that houses a few statues
03:38of what appears to be Guybrush Threepwood.
03:41Destroy each statue to make a collectible appear,
03:44grab it, and you will unlock not Guybrush Threepwood, but Guybrush Threepkiller.
03:49Unfortunately, he does not come with any insult saber-dueling skills.
03:58A hair of fame.
04:06Indiana Jones, Monkey Island, what's next, Grim Fandango?
04:10Well, no, but Sam & Max was another legendary LucasArts series that got a special shout-out
04:15from the galaxy far, far away, and across several games.
04:19In Dark Forces, the map of Ice Station Beta is an outline of Max's head.
04:24In Rogue Squadron 3, unlock the, uh, flying Buick?
04:29And see a Max ornament hanging from the rearview mirror.
04:33But Max's most prominent appearance in Star Wars is in Star Wars Jedi Knight Dark Forces 2.
04:40In the fifth level, Baron's Head, the Fallen City,
04:43you may spot a woman leaving from one of the buildings.
04:45If you're fast enough, you can sneak through the door that she left from
04:49and find Max brandishing a pistol.
04:51Talk to him, and he'll assist Kyle Katarn for the remainder of the level.
04:55Just try not to shoot him.
04:57He will retaliate.
05:05Familiar Rooms, Star Wars Battlefront 2.
05:08With all the madness ensuing in a game like Battlefront 2,
05:12you may not have thought to take the time to explore the areas you spawn in,
05:15or areas that are constantly covered in blaster fire.
05:18Battlefront 2 hides a number of rooms that fans of the movies will instantly recognize.
05:23On Naboo, you can find the generator room that leads into the Red Barrier room
05:27where Qui-Gon Jinn and Darth Maul fought.
05:29On Yavin 4, you can visit the room where the Rebels were briefed on the Death Star plan
05:34to destroy the Jedi Order.
05:36You can even walk inside the Interrogation Room from Force Awakens
05:39when playing on the Starkiller map.
05:41There are a few more locations scattered in the game,
05:44so maybe go ahead and boot up Battlefront 2 to try to find the others.
05:48The Hidden Fortress, LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga.
05:53Of course I'm worried, and you should be too.
05:55Let no Calrissian and poor Chewbacca never return from this awful place.
06:01As many of you may know, the Star Wars Star Wars franchise
06:05As many Star Wars fans might know by now,
06:07George Lucas' famed film was inspired by a Japanese movie called The Hidden Fortress,
06:12directed by legendary filmmaker Akira Kurosawa.
06:16LEGO Skywalker Saga pays tribute to the movie in a cutscene that,
06:19while explicit, can still go over many players' heads.
06:22In the first cutscene from Return of the Jedi,
06:25we see R2-D2 and C-3PO making their way to Jabba's palace.
06:29One shot shows the two in the distance with a skeleton front and center of the frame,
06:33with the skele-man is a flag in Irish text on it,
06:36and when translated, it reads,
06:38Hidden Fortress, with an arrow pointing north.
06:46Veteran Droid, Star Wars Outlaws
06:56While Star Wars Outlaws often strays away from crossing over with other bits of Star Wars media,
07:02there was one line of dialogue that we thought was way too cool not to share.
07:06In one segment later in the game, you'll have to break into an area
07:10inhabited by one of the syndicates.
07:12K talks to ND-5 about possible entry points, and just before they hang up,
07:17ND-5 makes a comment about how he served in a particular event,
07:20one that few Star Wars fans may even know about.
07:24Yes, K. I fought in the Separatist War.
07:28The Separatist War was an event that occurred after the government of Ord Mantle
07:32aligned itself with the Republic.
07:34This part of Star Wars lore has only ever been depicted in the MMO, Star Wars The Old Republic,
07:40and has only ever been mentioned in passing a couple of times
07:43in further updates for the same game and even a book.
07:46So it's kind of shocking that Ubisoft would throw a reference to something this obscure into Outlaws.
07:53How does that sound?
07:56Hazard pay, huh? How dangerous is this mission, exactly?
08:00THX. Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds.
08:03One of George Lucas's very first works was a short film he made as a student
08:08called Electronic Labyrinth THX 1138-4EB, a mouthful of a title that would go on to
08:15serve as the name of audio production house THX, which was co-founded by Lucas.
08:19A plethora of Star Wars media have paid tribute to this short in some form or another,
08:24and Galactic Battlegrounds is pretty explicit with theirs.
08:27When selecting a unit of stormtroopers, there's a chance they will respond with
08:32THX 1138 ready. Stormtrooper ready.
08:35But you want to know the craziest easter egg in all of Star Wars gaming truly is?
08:41Jar Jar Incarbonite. Star Wars The Force Unleashed.
08:46I should have expected the Emperor would send an assassin. It's a coward's tactic.
08:51We all know the ultimate truth as to how the events of Star Wars transpired in the first place.
08:56We know the cause. We know the plague that is Jar Jar Binks.
09:01Well, it turns out the Gungan got his just desserts during Order 66,
09:06as evident by his appearance in The Force Unleashed.
09:09While exploring the Kashyyyk hunting lodge, take a close look at the displays.
09:14One of them is of a Gungan frozen in carbonite, and judging from that expression,
09:19it's safe to assume we all know who that is. He had it coming.
09:23We all know Jar Jar Binks is a Sith Lord, and ladies and gentlemen, we got him.
09:28Were you able to spot any of these for yourself? Was there one we might have missed?
09:32I'll just leave you two to talk this out.
09:35Let us know down in the comments below,
