00:00Yeah, like you said, I've been leading the points list for a long time, and so to come
00:09in here with a lead is, you know, it's nice to play the way that I did and be able to
00:15finish off the right way.
00:16It's been a long year.
00:17It's been a very fun year.
00:18I think emotionally right now I'm pretty drained, so I'm looking forward to going home and getting
00:25rest for a week or so before I start prepping for the President's Cup because, you know,
00:29that's a tournament that I really want us to go out there and win, and so, yeah, I really
00:34don't know how to put it into words.
00:35It's been a very eventful year, but it's been a lot of fun.
00:39You have really just the one weird spot there at Valhalla, which I just don't really know
00:44what to say about it, but, yeah, everything else has been pretty special.
00:50You know, I made a lot of putts this year when I really needed to.
00:54You know, I think of, you know, the putt to win Memorial, I think of some of the putts
00:57I made over the week at the players and the putts I made the back nine Sunday at the Olympics.
01:02Like, I made some putts this year when I really needed to, and, you know, that's why I'm sitting
01:08here with a lot of wins instead of a few.
01:09You know, last year I was playing good golf and I wasn't able to make the key putts at
01:13the right time, and, you know, this year I was, and so that's really just the difference.
01:18Rory McIlroy came away from the FedEx Cup placed ninth, level with his Olympic teammate
01:23Shane Lowry.
01:25He touched on his current game and how his last day loss at the US Open has been affecting him.
01:31I think it was obviously a great season.
01:34You know, hopefully Scotty goes on and, you know, finishes this thing off because he deserves
01:39it after what a year that he's had, so, but, yeah, it's been a long season and, you know,
01:45I'm going to just have to think about trying to build in, you know, build in a few extra
01:50breaks here and there, you know, next year and going forward because, you know, I felt
01:55like I hit a bit of a wall sort of post-US Open and still feel a little bit of that hangover.
02:01Yeah, I mean, you know, we'll look back on 2024 and it's, you know, obviously one of
02:06the best individual years that a player's had for a long time.
02:13Colin Morikawa has had a steady year on tour, his T3 in the Masters being his biggest reflection.
02:19He placed T2 in the FedEx Cup and commented on the world number one, who he felt was never
02:24getting caught.
02:25Just nothing phases him.
02:26I mean, whether I was close, you know, in gaining some ground or he was gaining ground,
02:30it didn't change how he walked or how he played or how he went through every shot and that's
02:35something to learn.
02:36I think his mental game is a lot stronger than a lot of people know and it's amazing
02:41what he's been able to do for this entire season and honestly kind of over this past,
02:45what is it, three years now.
02:48It's been really cool to watch and hopefully I can kind of draw something from that.
02:51It almost like brought his focus back in for a half second and that's something you can't
02:56teach and it's just like you either have it or you don't.
