Transcript
00:005, 4, 3, 2, 1, GO STEVEN!
00:08I'm Steven Webb, the former mayor of Truro. I'm heading off to do 500 miles for the Cornwall
00:16Air Ambulance. It's 33 years since I broke my neck and the Cornwall Air Ambulance was
00:22instrumental in saving my life. That's why I'm here today. So what better way of giving
00:27back than going around the county of Cornwall, doing 500 miles, raising money to help them
00:34to continue saving lives.
00:36To think that Steven has chosen us is just overwhelming for us all. The whole team are
00:40behind us and we know he's going to smash both the challenge and his fundraising target.
00:45I'm here to support Steven. This is the most amazing thing he's doing. Everybody should
00:50be supporting him. I'm sure people will come out and see him as he goes around Cornwall.
00:54It's really important that he's doing this for Cornwall Air Ambulance. It's such a crucial
00:58charity for Cornwall.
00:59I'm here to send Steven off on his 500 mile charity run in his wheelchair. Very important
01:05because it's for the Air Ambulance here in Cornwall and protecting for the second Air
01:11Ambulance so it's very important.
01:12It's really important because without that Air Ambulance people can die on the way to
01:17hospital and we really need it in Cornwall because it's such a big rural area with only
01:23one hospital and one A&E department.
01:26This is massive for the Air Ambulance on their campaign to try and get Heli 2 and also the
01:30Cornwall 500 CIC is formed so that the profits will be distributed to keep those two helicopters
01:36in the air.
01:37Get online and sponsor him. Donate as much as you can afford because we all need the
01:44next Air Ambulance. It's really important and we need to get a second one in the air.
01:49Donate. Support me. Share social media. Come and join us. Look for us on social media.
01:56The Cornwall 500 or go to thecornwall500.com and just support me. Keep me going. It's not
02:03always going to be easy but with your support, sharing, commenting, asking questions, I think
02:10that will make it easier for me.
