00:06See you in the next video.
00:08Good bye.
00:30One of the most enigmatic personalities professional wrestling has or will ever see.
00:54Hiromu Takahashi has not come alone tonight.
01:01Many iterations of Darryl down the line breaks the newest generation.
01:06El Gil de Darryl has hit Washington, D.C.
01:10and Hiromu Takahashi has done the exact same.
01:13Folks, it is a rematch. We were there live in Chicago, Illinois.
01:17Many of you were as well.
01:19IndyCityRiot24 saw the first meeting between Mustafa Ali and Hiromu Takahashi.
01:25Hiromu, on the losing end of that matchup, tonight, an opportunity to get the win back.
01:32Taking the title.
01:34Hiromu Takahashi!
02:01But on one condition.
02:07If Mustafa Ali wins this match, Hiromu has to acknowledge him publicly as the best junior heavyweight in the world.
02:14I mean, a lot of people say that's Hiromu Takahashi.
02:21The debate is a hard one to have.
02:24Hiromu Takahashi or Mustafa Ali, yes, two of the best junior heavyweights in the world.
02:30They're definitely involved in the conversation, Ali especially, in Western eyes.
02:35However, I mean, let's talk about it, Vader.
02:38We held an entire tournament leading to Dominion to determine the best of the super junior, that being El Desperado.
02:45The current IWGP junior heavyweight championship holder, the top junior title in pro wrestling, currently belongs to Doki.
02:54178.82 kg, Mustafa Ali!
03:03But tonight, all of that is being overlooked in favor of Mustafa Ali.
03:08That is in Mustafa Ali's eyes only.
03:10It's not Hiromu who's running around, calling himself the best junior heavyweight in the world.
03:14That's Ali.
03:16Perhaps it is the man who wears the coat.
03:23But the thing is, you've got to know that Doki is keeping an eye on this matchup,
03:29because if you can claim the at least metaphorical title of best junior heavyweight in the world,
03:35then obviously you are looking at a championship opportunity in your near future.
03:39At least you're going to argue for one.
03:41Yeah, you're absolutely right.
03:42That's a great point to make, especially knowing that it was a singles victory over Hiromu Takahashi earlier this year
03:48that started that rise in momentum for Doki to become IWGP junior heavyweight champion back in Tokyo.
03:57April 12th, 15 minutes, 8 seconds that Ali and Hiromu Takahashi went back in Chicago, Illinois,
04:04and a very different start to this matchup than we saw then.
04:08Hiromu was not afraid to take things, not technical, but rather comedic with Mustafa Ali,
04:14toyed with the then TNA X Division champion.
04:17A lot of covers attempted here, not any successful.
04:19Here's the one down, and Ali right into success.
04:23Whoa!
04:26That one, fairly close.
04:34It's going to be very interesting to see what sort of strategy
04:36Hiromu Takahashi looks to take.
04:38Does he want to toy with Mustafa Ali?
04:40Well, the singles record between them, 0-1 in the favor of Ali.
04:44That paints a different picture for Hiromu's attempt.
04:48Yeah, we know that that is a zone where Hiromu is extremely comfortable,
04:53and we know that is something that gets under the skin of Ali,
04:56but like you said, going into this match, there's a lot on the line,
05:00and Ali has that victory over Takahashi.
05:04We get into the collar and elbow here.
05:06We talk about the differences between these two men.
05:09Can we talk about a personal difference for Mustafa Ali?
05:12When they faced off back in April, well, Ali walked in as TNA X Division champion,
05:17and you know very well, Veda, he is no longer the TNA X Division champion.
05:21Yeah, has since lost the X Division championship,
05:24has since had to sort of regroup and pivot a little bit on his campaign,
05:31but he remains undefeated here in New Japan.
05:34He'll be more than happy to tell you,
05:36and he intends to stay that way and get things back on track.
05:39Yep, that is the very important part for Mustafa Ali in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
05:45Undefeated in singles action, in action overall on the Cerulean Blue.
05:50That recent victory in Ontario, California.
05:52They were there live, Veda, buy-in action against Leo Rush.
05:57We'll see Leo Rush in action later on.
05:59The strong open weight fight.
06:00Yeah, that match against Leo Rush was another huge victory for Ali in New Japan,
06:07but it didn't come without some controversial moments,
06:14and I have to wonder if Honomu is on the lookout for that.
06:17Ali, whoa.
06:19Oh, good God have mercy right in front of us here at ringside.
06:24And Mustafa Ali, that was a hard, hard crash into that squared-off turnbuckle post.
06:29Yeah, Ali may not have the opportunity to bend the rules
06:32because that might have taken him out right there.
06:35Look, he's holding on to his mouth.
06:38Very well could be looking at a broken or very much dislocated jaw is Mustafa Ali.
06:46Downward stroke of luck.
06:47Oh, no.
06:48Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa.
06:51El Hijo de Daryl, no.
06:53Fuck you and fuck Daryl.
06:55Mustafa Ali calls El Hijo de Daryl nothing more than a stupid doll,
06:59but Daryl has served as much more for Honomu throughout his years.
07:04Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa.
07:05Oh, and rolling onto the concrete floor.
07:09Daryl, he's been unmasked.
07:10Somebody get a towel, a washcloth.
07:13Ali, again, just part of his bitterness seems to stem.
07:19Oh, no.
07:20Oh, no.
07:21Oh, no.
07:22From the cameras production crew.
07:24What are we doing?
07:27Mustafa Ali.
07:28Don't do it.
07:30That feline has a family.
07:33OK.
07:34OK.
07:35No, no, no.
07:36Oh, come on.
07:37Come on.
07:41In the eyes of Mustafa Ali, El Hijo de Daryl may just be a doll,
07:46but he is much more.
07:47He is the spirit that embodies Honomu Takahashi.
07:53Here comes Ali with a neck breaker.
07:56Signature of Ali brought into the cover.
07:58Beautiful bridge there from Ali.
08:01And it is only going to be two.
08:08And right there, Ali, he said it.
08:12He is targeting the neck of Honomu Takahashi and Walker.
08:16We all know the history there.
08:19Yeah, the way that Honomu Takahashi's neck was injured back at the
08:23Cow Palace years ago by none other than Dragon Lee.
08:31That neck injury is one that continues to set heavily on the mind
08:35of Honomu Takahashi.
08:36Despite all the success which he has had,
08:38Ali has to know about the damage that's been done.
08:42Oh, and Takahashi trying to come back here.
08:52Honomu wanted that line and instead Ali German suplex plants down.
08:58Oh!
09:00Bell clap positioning brought right through and out.
09:03Twist and shout.
09:04Reversed it for Ali.
09:07Cover here for Ali.
09:08And it's two.
09:09Just a two, but once again, zeroed in focus on the neck.
09:19It's very evident at this point in the match, Veda,
09:21that Mustafa Ali walked in with a game plan.
09:23Did not want people walking away from the entertainment and sports arena
09:27in D.C. thinking, well, that win back in Chicago was a fluke.
09:36Yeah, he has been calculating and cold in his assault on Honomu's neck.
09:45Now just dumping him to the outside.
09:48It's been that downswinging luck Ali has had that is up to the aggression.
09:53Losing the TNA X-Division title to speedball Mike Bailey at Slammiversary.
09:58Losing his challenge for the TNA World title against Nick Nemeth.
10:01Hold on, Honomu, Honomu, wait, wait, wait, wait.
10:04German suplex on the outside.
10:07And Ali nearly unaffected, but that's going to do the damage done.
10:15Honomu with a smile, but then collapses in exhaustion.
10:21Certainly, though, did his own damage to Mustafa Ali's neck.
10:43Oh, no, he just realized.
10:50We're bringing it back inside the ring now.
10:52The remnants of Alheel Dedeiro Jr. that remain.
10:59If I win, you must call me the best junior heavyweight wrestler in the world today.
11:06Those are the words of Mustafa Ali, and those may be the words altered just a little bit.
11:11For Honomu Takahashi to say, Honomu Chen bomber in the corner.
11:14Here we go, slides through, drop kick, plants Ali down.
11:18Into the cover here for Honomu, and it's two.
11:24Relatively quiet August for Mustafa Ali leads to a lot of noise being made at the tail end.
11:32Honomu again is feeling out his neck as he gets back to his feet.
11:48Takahashi goes for Ali.
11:53Oh, Mustafa keeps his feet on the ground.
11:57Honomu, could we see time bomb from that position?
12:00Absolutely.
12:02Will Ali avoid it for the time being underneath that line?
12:05Here we go.
12:06Honomu Takahashi has Ali up, planted down, sit out, suplex slam into the cover here for Honomu.
12:14It's two.
12:17Honomu back on his feet.
12:24Ali kicked out, but you can see he is hurting.
12:33An opportunity for Honomu Takahashi to build momentum for his upcoming Never Openweight Championship match
12:39against Sonare September 9th in Corcoran Hall.
12:43Oh, big flurry by Ali.
12:51Ali now dropped toehold, oh gosh, on the bottom rope.
12:56Shots like that have ended careers, ended lives before.
13:01And Mustafa Ali has Honomu barely breathing, hanging on for dear life on that bottom rope today.
13:08Oh no.
13:09Size it up, could be picture perfect, and Ali with the Honomu John Bomber.
13:16Grounded, that is beautiful execution.
13:20Ali turned it inside out on the outside.
13:30Inside out, outside in.
13:33Everyone's going a direction, one of these two men's direction will be up in the end.
13:38Three.
13:41Four.
13:43Wait a minute, wait a minute, hey.
13:45I don't think we can do this, taking things out into the audience tonight.
13:51And, oh no, no, no, no, no.
13:55That could break your neck in any situation, but we know, we know that Honomu Takahashi has a history of neck injuries, and what is this?
14:05It might have already done so then, I mean, we might need to call this one very early.
14:11Honomu Takahashi, the damage that's been done, Ali.
14:18Outside in, oh my god.
14:21And lands on his feet.
14:26If you want to call yourself the best junior heavyweight wrestler in the world, that is a hell of a claim.
14:36Ali, Ali, Ali, Ali, Ali, Ali, Ali, Ali, Ali, Ali, Ali, Ali, Ali, Ali, Ali, Ali.
14:46One.
14:49Two.
14:50Honomu Takahashi barely mobile now, the damage that's been done, it's not only going to affect the neck beta, it's going to affect the rest of your extremities, your arms, your legs.
14:58The shockwave down the spine.
15:00Yeah, Tagashi laid out as Ali goes up top maybe, oh no, but almost barely, barely up to his feet, barely avoids the best shot Ali had in his arsenal.
15:20Mustafa Ali got launched.
15:30This is awesome!
15:44Both men refusing to go down at this point in time. We have a special 60 minute time limit on this matchup and by God, if this one went the distance, it's going down for match of the year.
15:54Crawling, crawling on their hands and knees to the center of the ring.
16:24Oh, this time they both have the same idea.
16:32And only one of them is going to win out in the end. Two great minds thinking alike, the best of the juniors here.
16:37Ali off the ropes, Haromu misdirected and the en-sagiri got him.
16:43Ali, hit Haromu!
16:47Oh no!
16:49Haromu buttons down Ali, turned inside out. Haromu Takahashi is well and alive in Washington, D.C.
17:00And you can feel the energy shift tonight.
17:03But it shifts back the other way.
17:06That leg trapped right here, Mustafa Ali has that STF locked in deep beta.
17:12Again, that is not good news when you have an injured neck, wrenching back on the neck, the chin.
17:20And if Haromu is going to make it to the ropes, he's going to have to drag Ali with him.
17:26Haromu finds the closest set of ropes and has his eyes locked as open as they may not be right now.
17:32On the target, arm trapped here by Ali, great technical ability.
17:37Visual right there, even if it's a verbal submission.
17:42Oh, Haromu made it to the ropes somehow and Ali, Ali holding on to that submission as long as he can.
18:03Right at the exit, he fucking marks it out.
18:11Mustafa Ali taking his sweet time, John Jackson with a rowdy Washington, D.C. audience.
18:17I mean, you know he feels fully confident right now, as he drags Haromu back into position.
18:24Now powerbomb positioning.
18:26Haromu Takahashi finds safety on that middle rope, but how long might it last?
18:32Survey says not for much.
18:34Head tucked in the corner, dropkick.
18:37Haromu Takahashi's neck feeling the entirety of the front.
18:41Oh, but Ali, he's not done yet.
18:44Gorey's out here.
18:47Oh, just stretching Haromu Takahashi all the way back beta.
18:52You know how this feels.
18:53Oh, and then slammed face first into the canvas.
18:58That's it.
19:00No.
19:02Our official's hand is just millimeters above the canvas.
19:15To call yourself the best means to beat the best.
19:18Famous men before you and I said that to be the man, you have to beat the man.
19:23Well, the two best men in this arena stand toe to toe here, and it has to come down to this.
19:33Ali says he has to do it.
19:36He's not going to do it.
19:38Not by a long shot here.
19:40Oh, what an uppercut.
19:43Oh, what an uppercut.
19:47Oh, hold on. Haromu backslides, not enough.
19:51Once again under a hook and driving down Mustafa Ali.
19:59Cover here for Haromu.
20:03Haromu collapsed into that pinfall.
20:06Ali somehow able to rise to his feet.
20:10Haromu up on the shoulder, might have been taking a time bomb there and instead.
20:14There's a poison rata and Haromu Takahashi will not go down.
20:27And again, the confidence just radiates off the body of Mustafa Ali.
20:33He has Haromu down, he is making the climb once again.
20:36This match going beyond their 15 minute match in Chicago.
20:40It's a 450.
20:42Oh, no, no, no.
20:44Beautiful 450 right onto the knees.
20:47Haromu rolling through.
20:50Takahashi may do it here.
20:57Haromu Takahashi has defeated Mustafa Ali.
21:05And this is important.
21:15Absolutely incredible battle here in DC Walker.
21:20No physical championships on the line.
21:23No titles to walk out with.
21:25This was all about pride and about potentially humiliating your opponent.
21:33And in the end, Mustafa Ali, he didn't win.
21:37He didn't.
21:39But I think I'm beginning to understand a lot of the arguments in the campaign now.
21:48And it's not about the titles held, but the monikers claimed.
21:53For long, long periods of time, we have called Haromu Takahashi the best junior heavyweight wrestler in the world.
21:59But it's Mustafa Ali willing to admit that himself.
22:07OK, they're saying they're one in one.
22:20Wrestling fans, you're going to want to stay tuned to post match comments from this one.
22:23Mustafa Ali, always a man with something to say to further the political agenda.
22:31One of the most despised politicians, and that's saying something in Washington, D.C.
22:36Mustafa Ali will be having a microphone in his face later on in backstage comments.
22:41But for now, a victory for Haromu.
22:44You're right.
22:46One and one.
22:53Whoa.
22:55Did anybody overhear that?
22:58All right. Mustafa Ali just came over to our broadcast table and he said they're one in one.
23:05He's calling for that rematch, that rubber match.
23:08He's calling it for next year best with Super Junior.
23:11Did Mustafa Ali just enter himself in?
23:13I don't know.
23:15But we got a whole lot more for you, including the Strong Openweight Championship.
23:19That is coming up next.
23:20Leo Rush takes on Gabe Kidd right here in D.C.
