00:00We're here at St. James' Park, home of Matthew Smith's beloved Newcastle United,
00:05where after over 800 miles, after 19 Premier League stadiums, after a lot of aches and pains,
00:10Matthew will finish his epic fundraising run for If You Care Chef Foundation,
00:15the charity that he co-founded from the sad passing of his brother Dan,
00:19a charity that has helped so many people around the North East and around the country,
00:22and it will come to an epic end here in about half an hour's time.
00:30I'm still a little bit in shock, I think, to be honest.
00:44I think it's going to take a little while to appreciate actually what I've achieved.
00:48It feels brilliant, it feels really special to have special people here,
00:54and people who've made a massive, I'm pointing at you Mark, because you've massively helped,
00:58people that's really helped along the way and I couldn't have done it by myself.
01:03To have so many people join us as well, whether it was running or coming here,
01:07it's just been an amazing day.
01:10Because of just the pure emotion, I didn't really take it all in at the time,
01:16I think it's only now that I'm really appreciating how amazing it is to have so many people.
01:24I think the next few days, the next few weeks, I'll be looking back with some real fondness
01:32and appreciation of the amazing people that have helped.
01:38It's just unbelievable. Some of us will be training for the Great North Run at the minute,
01:43and I got out of bed and ran 18km on Monday and felt pretty sorry for myself.
01:49So now I've been put well and truly in my place by this man who is just an incredible feat.
01:56His dad just said that when he finished the Downwind Street Tour, he said to him,
02:00look I don't think most people could manage that.
02:03I don't think most people could and I don't know anyone who could do what you've just done.
02:08The biggest concern was, what if I get injured, what do I do?
02:12I think that was what I was always kind of scared of,
02:17there was a bigger purpose than me feeling rubbish.
02:21It feels like it's gone really quick but also it feels like it's been the longest thing ever.
02:26Thinking back to the vitality, it feels like it was ages ago.
02:31Still kind of don't really appreciate what I've done, but yeah, special.
02:38Still a lot of fundraising to go, I don't know where my page is actually at right now,
02:43but I know there's a long way to go, there's still a big amount.
02:48We'll keep trying, I'll keep asking, but I'm also realistic.
02:53I've raised a huge amount of money, it's not a small amount that we've raised
02:58and I'm very grateful for every single person that's supported, given.
03:02Yeah, it's amazing.
