00:00I can introduce yourself. I'm James Burns. I'm a mixed arable and sheep farmer. We
00:05had 40 sheep stolen on the 11th of August through the night. We think they
00:14run them up onto a footpath and loaded them onto a trailer. The biggest problem is
00:21we've got to replace the sheep and we have rent to pay on our farm that the
00:27sheep help pay for. So we've been hit hard with financial loss basically and
00:34yeah so we're going to... we've lost a lot of them. I think about five grams worth
00:39of sheep have gone. So obviously that's had an impact on the farm but also on your
00:46your sort of your personal... Yeah so it doesn't do your mental health any good
00:51because you're forever thinking your sheep are going to disappear overnight.
00:55Sure and how have the the remaining sheep and animals on the farm been since
01:02this happened? So the other half of the flock that was stolen they've been very
01:06unsettled. I think because half of their lambs, some of their lambs must have gone.
01:09Some of the more visited lambs that are left have gone. So they're looking around and
01:15ranging over fences where they shouldn't be. Is there anything that anyone can do
01:23in terms of helping you, you know, moving forward? If people just keep an eye out
01:31and see anything that doesn't look like a farmer loading sheep and
01:35warm people, it would be handy. If anyone's got any, you know, yeah I take it's been
01:46reported to... Yes if anyone has any information if they could report it to
01:51Hampshire Police there would be a very good help. It would be nice to get the sheep
01:58back. So a friend has set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the cost of the loss
02:06of the sheep because the insurance won't pay out for 30 days and we still have
02:12bills to pay in 30 days.
