00:00How happy are you to have signed for the club?
00:02Yeah, really delighted to get it over the line and to be down it.
00:07What was it that made you think that Crawley was the right place for you?
00:10We're obviously nearing the end of the transfer window now,
00:12so what was it that attracted you to the club?
00:15Everything really, the manager, the style of play,
00:20I think it all will suit me well in the way I play as well.
00:24I think I'll be able to fit right in and hopefully help build on the positive start that the lads have made.
00:31Yeah, I suppose we speak to a lot of players about joining us at the start of pre-season,
00:36how that's ideal because you get the full pre-season,
00:38sort of get into time with the new players,
00:40but then you also have the benefit of joining us later if you've already seen how we play in the league
00:45and I suppose that's given you a good insight, isn't it?
00:48Yeah, I think like you say, you can often learn,
00:50you can learn a lot from just watching the game rather than,
00:53or you can learn more from watching than you can from actually playing in a game sometimes.
00:57So yeah, from watching a couple of the games that you've played already this season,
01:02definitely looks like you'll be off to a good start this season.
01:08Yeah, and you would have also had the benefit I suppose of watching us play last season,
01:11obviously in the same league both clubs promoted.
01:14Did you see a lot from last season?
01:16Obviously there was lots of attention on the play-offs,
01:18we played you quite late on in the season, didn't we?
01:20Yeah, I remember playing you guys at Mansfield
01:25and I know there's been a lot of comings and goings with the squad here,
01:30but you can see that the manager's style of play
01:33and what he wants from the team hasn't changed at all.
01:36Yeah, have you had many conversations with the manager and the coach and stuff yet
01:39or is it sort of first day, still getting settled in before you hit the training ground?
01:43Yeah, I've had a few brief conversations,
01:46but yeah, like you say, just getting settled in for now.
01:50Yeah, we've obviously got a lot of games coming up to get you two stuck into.
01:54Obviously there's Saturday's game against Barnsley we've then got a week off,
01:57so that's probably not ideal for you because I don't suppose you'd want as many games to get stuck into.
02:02But in terms of the season, what are your goals?
02:05Is it just to break in and score as many goals as possible?
02:08Yeah, exactly that.
02:10I'm a striker, so alongside winning games, it's just scoring goals for me.
02:18You say a striker, but how would you describe yourself as a player?
02:21What can the fans expect?
02:24I like to sort of play off the shoulders and get in behind.
02:27I think my pace is one of my better attributes, so yeah, I like to use that.
02:32Yeah, and have you played at the Broughton Stadium before?
02:36Once.
02:37Once, yeah. What was your impression then of the crowd and everything?
02:40Yeah, very noisy, hard to sort of ignore and block out when you're playing against them.
02:46But hoping it'll be a nice boost playing for them this time.
02:51Yeah, obviously Tom Nicholls was at Mansfield last year wasn't he as well?
02:54Did he tell you anything about Crawley then or any impressions he gave you?
02:58He just told me it was a good place and I've spoke to Kellen Gordon who was here as well.
03:03Yeah, I've heard nothing but good things.
