Israel Agrees to Pauses in Gaza for Polio Vaccination

Israel and Hamas have agreed to a series of "humanitarian pauses" in Gaza, allowing a vaccination campaign aimed at immunizing 640,000 children against polio. The campaign, led by WHO and other international bodies, will roll out in three stages across Gaza, pausing hostilities for three days during each phase. The move comes after the first polio case in 25 years was detected in Gaza. Efforts aim to achieve 90% vaccine coverage to halt the virus spread.
