00:00So, Launceston City are obviously in the process of applying for a Women's Super League licence
00:03mate, I suppose.
00:04How important would it be for the club and what would it mean to have a WSO licence to
00:08extend the pathway?
00:09Oh, it's huge.
00:10We've been working at this for a long time.
00:13With our academies, our Opel Juventus Academy, we've got under fives right through to senior
00:18women and senior men, NPL under 21, so they play at state level.
00:24We need somewhere for our women to play at state level.
00:26Yeah, no, there's girls that are keen to come back, absolutely.
00:29They were disappointed to have to go to other clubs, but they need to be at our club.
00:33They've quite often spent most of their juniors and most of their playing career here, but
00:37have had to move purely on the back of us not having a WSO licence.
00:42At the moment, if they want to play any higher than Northern Championship women, they've
00:45got to go to other clubs and that's just not on.
00:48We want to provide the pathway, we want to keep them here at the club.
00:51We like our women playing here at the club, they're part of the culture and I think it's
00:55only fair that they get to play statewide.
