00:00So it's West Ham who gets us underway in the second match day of the Perth International
00:08Football Cup presented by Ninja.
00:11West Ham in their classic claret and sky blue, and PSG too sporting their original red, white
00:17and blue.
00:18As mentioned, the first time these two sides have ever faced each other, never in the history
00:26of the clubs have they met.
00:28So a bit of intrigue as to how this fixture will play out.
00:32Leaves a bit of pressure.
00:33West Ham looking for a way forward, but that pass a little short, slightly slippery conditions
00:44as well after a bit of rain.
00:45And look at Denton, around, doesn't do so well on that occasion.
00:50Echegini, PSG winding up and does get the shuttle.
00:53Short corner.
00:54Nice delivery into the box, is put into a dangerous area, attempted prod, but it's done
01:02really well.
01:03Far has been up to task, ball into the box and again Chemek is called into action, headed
01:08back down, nodded in and almost turned inside the near.
01:15Smith has space, now Asai.
01:37It's PSG again who have a bit of space, the release ball is a nice one, the flag stays
01:41down.
01:42Looking up for the offside, Romain Lustre, with an unwavering finish for Paris Saint-Germain
01:52and for all their dominance.
01:54You feel as though that goal is deserved.
01:57Well, it took one pass and you can see the space in between the lines, a couple of hands
02:05in the air, appealing for offside, but Romain Lustre, the Dutch international, had time
02:13to set herself, pick a spot for...
02:16Now you see on the back of the West Ham shirts, DT38 honouring and paying tribute to the young
02:33forward.
02:49To see a similar game plan for West Ham tonight in this first half, the PSG number 20, Tyra
02:59the 19-year-old has had plenty to do, but a rare corner for West Ham late in this first
03:09half.
03:10Still as we've comfortably, Hosea, Hoda Long in the middle, Jeannie can build again.
03:35We'll sit back and see this first half out, as the two minutes of extra time, so two changes
03:46for PSG, as they're all but readied for the second half kick-off.
03:55Doesn't look to be any further changes from Rhian Skinner at this point, but a few last
04:03words of imparted wisdom in the huddle from Shalina Zdorsky, a leader in this side, there's
04:09a goal scorer, Romain Lustre, lots of bodies just on the edge of the 18-yard box.
04:34To leave it in a little short, it's comfortably nodded away, PSG quickly clean up for West
04:47Ham, but Kelsie Smith can release a pass and ultimately that from Denton is a little too
04:58easily read.
04:59It's Nishimba from Olimby Gilbert.
05:00A little clip off the head from Asai interrupts the pass, so Nishimba concerns as it stands
05:30a little under 25 minutes to play of regulation time.
05:34Ham is looking to play out of this controlled press that PSG do so well.
05:49I know their roles early on in pre-season, but you can tell.
05:57Zidane Laguie, I mentioned the younger sister of Jeanne, 18 years old, not a bad football
06:04in pedigree in the family, evidently, and to Marie-Antoinette Cotote, 11 goals for her
06:10as well, and those are two players who have just entered the field of play, about pedigree
06:17in the French national team, two names synonymous with that side.
06:22Helped on by the top assayers.
06:44Just under 20 minutes of regulation time to play, still just a narrow 1-0 lead by PSG,
06:50but it has been a dominant performance.
06:52You can hear the shout of frustration there from Eva Gatino, certainly not the intended
07:01pass on that long-range effort.
07:07Still a few minutes to play here though, and in the third place playoff, Leicester
07:25City await as it stands, West Ham, no doubt we'll see a few minutes of stoppage time at
07:41the end of the 90, a couple of injuries and a whole host of substitutes as well.
08:04Much like Leicester last night, West Ham can be proud of their defensive effort this evening.
08:10And it's a scrappy affair at the back in the last 60 seconds, all in the hands at
08:33the discretion of the referee, whistle to the mouth, and there it is, and so with the
08:42full-time whistle, it's the French powerhouse, PSG, who march through to the Perth International
08:49Football Cup final.
08:50Fair to say, a dominant performance, a confident result, Fabrice Abreu leads his side buoyantly
08:58through a first test of their pre-season preparations, as the first half finish through
09:04the assist, a lovely assist from Etchegheny, and a finish by Romain Leuchter, and then
09:13we really saw the power of PSG unleashed into the second half, some of their heavy hitters
09:18coming on, and they looked comfortable throughout.
09:23So at the end of the first ever fixture between these two clubs here at HBF Park.
