00:00There are a number of ways the system currently withdraws benefits from very wealthy people.

00:06We could look at that. But let's be clear what's happening with this decision by

00:11the government. There are going to be millions of pensioners who are really vulnerable and poor,

00:17people who are eligible for pension credit but don't get it. There's nearly a million of those.

00:22Then there's several million pensioners who aren't eligible for pension credit but are really

00:29struggling. Some of the organisations like Citizens Advice and others have worried very

00:34much about those. We share those worries. The government has not put forward anything to help

00:40those people. That's why I think they need to think again and why Liberal Democrat MPs, all of

00:46us, have signed what's called a prayer to try to trigger a vote and a debate in Parliament to get

00:53the government to think again.
