00:00Denied or not given by the Court of Appeals to Timor-Leste

00:04is the request of the former Negros Oriental 3rd District Representative Anolfo Tevez Jr.

00:09to recover the extradition or to send him back to the Philippines.

00:13According to the Department of Justice,

00:15it was signed by the Prosecutor General of Timor-Leste.

00:19In June, the Timor-Leste Court of Appeals approved the extradition request of the DOJ.

00:25According to Tevez's lawyer, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio,

00:28the State Order was approved by the Court of Appeals

00:31and not the request to recover the extradition.

00:34That is the temporary suspension of the case filed by the lawyers of Timor-Leste.

00:41The filed State Order is in accordance with the appeal of Tevez's field

00:44to the United Nations Commission on Human Rights to examine his case.

00:49Tevez was the mastermind behind the assassination of the former Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo

00:55and others in March 4, 2023, before he denied the accusations.
