A woman hasn't eaten a full meal for more than a year - due to a rare condition which has left her with a paralysed stomach.
Addeson Stanley, 20, first realised something was wrong when she started getting full quickly, experiencing nausea, vomiting and abdominal bloating in May 2021.
She had recently come down with epstein-barr virus and initially put her symptoms down to that.
But when she also lost 35lbs in six months Addeson went to see a doctor - who assured her it was likely just the virus "passing through her body".
But in July 2021, two months on, her symptoms persisted so Addeson went to see a specialist.
