प्रधानमंत्री जन-धन योजना के 10 वर्ष पूरे हो गए हैं इस पर नीति आयोग के सीईओ बी॰ वी॰ आर॰ सुब्रमण्यम ने कहा, अधिकारियों को जन-धन लक्ष्य को पूरा करने में 4 वर्ष का समय लगना था, लेकिन पीएम मोदी ने इसे केवल 5 महीनों में पूरा कर दिया। बी.वी.आर. सुब्रमण्यम ने पीएम मोदी के नेतृत्व में जन-धन योजना के महत्वाकांक्षी रोलआउट को याद करते हुए कहा, शुरू में अनुमान लगाया गया था कि इसमें चार साल लगेंगे, लेकिन पीएम मोदी ने आश्चर्यजनक रूप से पांच महीने की समयसीमा तय की। शुरुआती संदेह के बावजूद, अधिकारियों ने अथक परिश्रम किया, समय से पहले लक्ष्य हासिल किया और लगभग 12 करोड़ बैंक रहित व्यक्तियों को औपचारिक बैंकिंग प्रणाली में लाया गया।
