00:04Made in Italy took off from Tokyo on board the Amerigo Vespucci,
00:08a sailboat and naval school that for the first time in its 93 years of history reaches Japan.
00:15The boat, saved from the port of Genoa on July 1, 2023,
00:19is engaged in a world tour that spans 28 countries and 5 continents.
00:24During the world tour on board the ship
00:27the traditional training activity of the official students is carried out,
00:31accompanied for the first time by the promotion of the excellence of Made in Italy.
00:35As in Los Angeles, it was also inaugurated in the Japanese capital and the Italian village,
00:41which brings to Tokyo a small piece of what Italy is,
00:46of art, of culture, of food, of wine, of technology, of design.
00:53A very small piece, as well as a small piece of culture,
00:59is brought by our friends of the band,
01:03who will also be here when Italy participates in the Universal Expo.
01:11Tokyo is the 21st stage of the world tour.
01:14There are over 400 people on board the Vespucci,
01:18committed to the extraordinary undertaking of the world tour,
01:21which will end in February 2025.
01:24The crew is over 400 people and it is a whole crew.
01:28It is a very intense relationship that has been developing in recent months.
01:34I have not started the world tour, I reached the ship in Cartagena de Indias,
01:38but I have almost reached two years.
01:41I would like to say that, however, in addition to these more than 400 people,
01:45there are at least another 400 on the other side.
01:48Each of us has at least one affection, and this is also the strength of our crew.
01:53It is an enlarged crew that reaches Italy.
01:57Among the Italian excellences is the Italian Open Academy,
02:01of the teacher Riccardo Muti,
02:03the musicians of the Teatro La Scala Academy,
02:05the Italian cinema, in collaboration with the International Exhibition of Cinema
02:09of the Venice Biennale, the iconic Italian wines,
02:12in collaboration with Verona Fieri Vinitali and much more.
02:15Here we are in a four-floor location,
02:20with a village made up of 22,000 square meters,
02:25so well over 12,000 of the Los Angeles village,
02:29and at the same time, in these 22,000 square meters,
02:34we have realized that concentration of Italianness
02:38is a quality with which many people represent us and distinguish us.
