The brother of an uber driver killed by two passengers on Queensland’s Fraser coast last year has delivered a powerful victim impact statement in court. The body of Scott Cabrie was discovered near a boat ramp in Howard south of Bundaberg, several days after he was stabbed repeatedly during a robbery gone wrong.

00:14The 47-year-old had been working as an Uber driver and part-time radio presenter at the
00:19time of his death.
00:21The Supreme Court in Brisbane heard Porter and his co-accused had been drinking for several
00:26hours before arming themselves with kitchen knives and forcing Mr Cadbury into the boot
00:32of his own car, driving him to a boat ramp in Howard.
00:36The court was told the younger teen, who pleaded guilty to murder, killed the victim by stabbing
00:42him at least seven times.
00:44The pair then dumped his body, after which they torched his car.
00:49Porter pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of manslaughter in April this year, as well as
00:54unlawful use of a motor vehicle, armed robbery and arson in relation to Mr Cadbury's death.
01:01Today, Scott Cadbury's brother, Ian, read his victim impact statement in court.
01:06He said the indiscriminate nature of his murder impacts all of us.

01:36Justice Peter Davis told the court that due to the complexity of the case, he would not
01:41make a decision today.
01:43The pair were instead remanded in custody to be sentenced at a later date.
