00:00What's poppin' GamerNation? You know this is B, JohnTheGamer64, TheLegend, TheOneAndOnly, and yours truly.
00:08And today we'll be checking out a
00:11purchase I made from Temu, but you know I love pronouncing it as Teemu instead. Even before the commercial like
00:19I always called it Teemu.
00:21And I do realize there isn't an A before the E and M, but that's neither here nor there, so yeah.
00:28So the purchase we'll be checking out today is this Nintendo Switch
00:34vintage TV
00:36like display stand.
00:39And what really got me is you know the aesthetics obviously. So I love the whole
00:44vintage tube TV with the freakin' rabbit antenna ears.
00:50And I freakin' love it, man. And I love like the little dials, like it just screams nostalgia.
00:58Even the color scheme, man, reminds me of like
01:01the old-school like Nickelodeon 90s toys that had like all the crazy colors.
01:07So you know they would have like blue, purple, green, orange, etc, etc.
01:12So I think that's what really drew me to this one.
01:15So yeah, they have like buttons on the TV,
01:18little knobs.
01:20They don't move, it's just you know for aesthetic purposes.
01:25Oh yeah, so let's take a look at it.
01:28So that's where you put in the Switch screen.
01:33And you love the purple rabbit ears. Very nice touch.
01:40Some little slits on the side.
01:44And what's cool about this model here is it actually has a little storage compartment for your Joy-Cons.
01:50And you could probably put like your
01:52SD cards in here too, whatnot.
01:55So that's a nice little bonus with the storage area.
01:58Okay, and then at the bottom of the unit, it's cool, there's a little slit right here.
02:03So you can actually plug in like the Type-C.
02:07Like anything with the Type-C, so if you have like a wired control, plug it in there for a charger while you're charging.
02:15And you can still play at the same time.
02:18It has this nice little kickstance.
02:20Kind of inverted.
02:22That's pretty cool, it gives you that nice little angle for your Switch.
02:29Alright, so let's go ahead and test the capabilities.
02:35Alright, so let's go ahead and put it in here.
02:40So on the listing it says you can use it for both the OLED and the standard model of the Nintendo Switch.
02:48Okay, so you do have to lift it here.
02:53So you see on the sides, if you overlap it here, it'll stop it right there.
03:02And on the other side it's just fully open, so that's good.
03:08Alright, there we go.
03:12That is so cool.
03:13Alright, so let's just play some games and see how it looks.
03:43Alright, let's go ahead and test it out.
04:14Alrighty folks, so that concludes the demonstration portion.
04:19But yes, overall, I really do love this product.
04:23I only paid like 25 bucks on...
04:26I'm going to say Teemu, I know it's Temu, but I don't know.
04:30Teemu sounds better than Temu to me, but anyways, I digress.
04:34So yeah, it's a very well-built, very well-made product.
04:40So yeah, it's a very well-built little model here.
04:45And aesthetically, I just love the aesthetics.
04:48The retro vintage tube TV with the rabbit ear antennas and little knobs.
04:55Would have been even cooler if it was functional.
04:58But, you know, it's just for aesthetics.
05:02And I really love the color scheme.
05:05It has like that Nickelodeon 90's toys vibe to it.
05:10Definitely love the storage compartments here.
05:13You can put your Joy-Cons and your micro SD cards.
05:18So that's a nice little bonus there.
05:24So yeah, only little gripe I may have with it is, you know, with your physical games.
05:31Fortunately, you cannot open it while the screen is inside of it.
05:37So yeah, you have to like lift it.
05:40It's a little annoyance, but it's not like, you know, massive.
05:46I mean, that's kind of the territory with dealing with physical games.
05:52But then again, maybe they could have, you know, made like a wedge here.
05:59Like behind the little cartridge slot here.
06:02So that the door could actually move there.
06:06And you don't have to take it out.
06:07But yeah, so.
06:09Aside from that.
06:11So yeah, aside from that, it is a solid unit.
06:15So yeah, if they were just to make a little circular wedge or indentation right there.
06:20So that the door can like fit right there.
06:23So you don't have to take it out.
06:25That would have been nice.
06:27Alrighty folks, so that concludes my little review of the Nintendo Switch Vintage TV Display Stand.
06:35And until next time.
06:38Love, Peace, ChickenPeace.
