00:00Here's what happened round 16 of the FIA Motocross World Championship, the MXGP for the Netherlands
00:14at Arnhem.
00:15MX2 race 1, Sacha Koonen fastest over the Foxhole shot line, that's 15 in the books
00:19now.
00:20There was a Red Bull KTM 1-2-3 as they swept through the first turn.
00:21Clyde and Wolf, the championship leader, was right there in 4th place.
00:22Lucas Koonen, right about 10th position, his closest rival, 2-4.
00:23Clyde and Wolf, quickly on the charge though, got himself into 3rd as he split Everts and
00:37Adamo.
00:42Just around the couple of corners later, Harp there, and Clem to McClelland, McClelland
00:47just ahead of Lucas Koonen.
00:50As the Wolf got the better of Everts, that was for the lead on lap 3.
00:59Lucas Koonen then went after Adamo, he was now up into 3rd place with this pass on the
01:06Italian.
01:07A couple of laps later, on lap 8, he moved to the inside of Liam Everts to move into
01:142nd, that was on lap 8-9, and then he closed down Clyde and Wolf, and this is how close
01:20it was, coming out of the final turn, and the start has found the boys, 1st and 2nd,
01:24De Wolff leading, crossing the line for his 10th win, Lucas Koonen 2nd, Everts, Adamo,
01:29McClelland your top 5, 10th race win for De Wolff in the season.
01:34Here's how the race is finished then, De Wolff, your winner, Koonen 2nd, Everts, Adamo, McClelland,
01:39Elzinga, racialists, Harp and Langenfelder rounding out your top 10.
01:50After that first MX2 race, Kai De Wolff led the championship by 51 points, but he squeezed
02:01his teammates to the inside, and once again it was Sacha Koonen, this time for Vauxhall
02:05shot number 16, he cannot be caught in that competition now.
02:08Adamo emerged in 2nd ahead of Jack Chambers, Nicol Harp, and Kai De Wolff, from out of
02:15nowhere, was right there alongside them, found this pass on Harp to move into 2nd on
02:23the opening lap, and ahead of him Sacha Koonen, Liam Everts was well placed in 6th until this
02:28happened, he picked himself up in 10th, eventually get back to 7th place, last year's winner
02:33would not make the podium.
02:35Andrea Adamo got the better of Harp as he moved into 3rd on lap 3, and once again another
02:41fight back through the field for Lucas Koonen, this time, this pass on Harp, moving him another
02:47place forward, he got around the outside of Adamo, 2 passes in the space of a lap, all
02:51of a sudden he was up in the 3rd place, was the number 96.
02:54De Wolff then tipped over, just there, whilst in 2nd position, he picked himself up in 3rd,
03:01but Koonen was now in Grand Prix winning contention when he found his way past his twin brother
03:05Sacha to take over the lead on lap 8.
03:10Kai De Wolff also found his way past the number 19 a lap later to move into 2nd place.
03:19Adamo getting the better of Sacha Koonen, late on in the race on lap 13 to move up into
03:243rd, and then a mad moment here from Kai De Wolff crashing out of 2nd position with 2
03:32laps to go, 2.5 laps to go, he picked himself up but he would get passed in the latter stages,
03:38first by Andrea Adamo because he had bent handlebars and some other issue he referred
03:42to after the race, and with a couple of corners to go, Kemda McClellan on the monstron, he
03:46tried to move his way into 3rd with that pass on De Wolff.
03:50Lukas Koonen winning race 2, Adamo 2nd, McClellan 3rd, De Wolff 4th, and Elsinger manning out
03:55in top 5, and the overall classification looked like this, for the 6th time this year, Lukas
04:01Koonen a Grand Prix winner, edging out his team mate De Wolff who was 1st and a 4th place
04:05finisher, Adamo on the podium, which was as good as a win for him, 4th and 3rd, the
04:10championship now separated, 44 points between De Wolff and Koonen, Langenfeld are losing
04:14a lot of ground to the Belgian here this weekend.
04:19Lukas Koonen winning the Grand Prix here of the Netherlands, but it's Kai De Wolff who
04:24continues to lead as we head to Switzerland in one week.
04:28Two really bad starts, and then made my way up, it was quite tough to pass some places
04:33so I found some, and then I just won, I went 2nd in the first moto, and then yeah, 2nd
04:38moto I wanted to win, and also took a bad start, but then Kai made a mistake, I passed
04:42him then passed my brother, I just put the pace up in the front and finished the moto
04:46perfect.
04:47MXGP race 1, all eyes over on the right hand side, Jeffy Herrlin's got squeezed by Guadagnini,
04:59Geisser there, but it was the one of Prado who ran wider, Larrin Koldenhoff, to take
05:03the first Vauxhall shot, remember he got the whole shot in the RAM qualifying race as well
05:07on Saturday.
05:08Borgma emerged in 3rd place, ahead of Siwa, and Fevre, Herrlin's around about 10th place,
05:16Geisser towards the end of the opening lap found his way past the green Kawasaki of Siwa
05:21as he moved into 4th, Herrlin's was closing in quickly though, so too, Jorge Prado, couldn't
05:27find his way past in the RAM qualifying race, but by the end of the first lap he was past
05:31the Hoff and into the lead.
05:34Tim Geisser got the better of Kevin Horgmo as he moved into 3rd place on lap 2, two Kawasaki's
05:39were dicing early on as well, Fevre got the better of his teammate Siwa, and a couple
05:44corners later Herrlin's around the outside of the number 91 as well, they then went after
05:49Horgmo, and when Fevre found his way past the 24 he was up into 4th place, again Herrlin's
05:57quick to find his way past the Norwegian, he was now into 5th at one stage, he was 18
06:02seconds down on the race lead of Prado.
06:05He kept Fevre in his sights, he doubled to the inside to move into 4th with what, 6 or
06:127 laps to go, and then he went after Geisser, and on lap 13 the bullet was through into
06:183rd, his team, his fellow countryman Glenn Koldenhoff came across inadvertently after
06:26getting cross rutted, and this is how close it was, Herrlin's moved into 2nd, Prado your
06:31race leader just ahead of him, and with 3 laps to go Herrlin's went around the outside
06:35of the Spaniard as he moved into lead there, sweet move around the outside, Herrlin's went
06:40on to win for the 11th time ahead of Jorge Prado, Glenn Koldenhoff on the Fantic, Tim
06:44Geisser and Roman Fevre, and behind them Jeremy Siwa, Andrea Bonacossi with a pass on Kevin
06:50Horkma on the final lap, Horkma coming out in 8th, Prado and Kiertz rounding out your top 10.
07:06MXGP race 2, once again Koldenhoff delivered the goods as he crossed the Fox hole shot
07:12line, picking up all hole shots this weekend from ramp qualifying to race 1 and race 2,
07:17that was his 4th black plate in the campaign, but look at that, Geisser, Herrlin's, Prado,
07:212nd, 3rd and 4th as they hit the back straight on the opening lap, Siwa and Fevre behind
07:29them, Herrlin's though the first to blink, he ran off track from 3rd, Prado went around
07:33the outside, the bullet was now in 4th place, the Hoff continued to lead, and as Prado closed
07:39in on Geisser, look how close it was, somehow the two riders stayed up, that put a rocket
07:44up the backside of the Slovenian, he went by Koldenhoff, and by the end of the straight
07:49Prado was through as well, the Hoff now into 3rd, shortly after that Herrlin's joined the
07:53party as he moved past the 2-5-9 and went after Prado and Geisser, Fevre once again
08:00got the better of his team mate, this move for 5th place, they finished in 5th and 6th
08:04in Fevre and Siwa, top of your screen, up the inside, this was the pass Prado put on
08:10Geisser to take over the lead on lap 7, the start of the next lap, Herrlin's around the
08:18outside of the 2-43, the championship leader as he moved into 2nd and towards the end of
08:22the lap, halfway round the lap in fact, Prado untidy coming out of that left-hander, Herrlin's
08:29didn't need a second invite, and on lap 8 we had a new leader, Geisser hanging on to
08:33a 3rd and a podium position until this happened, he did pick himself up and managed to fend
08:39off Glenn Koldenhoff, but it was Herrlin's, a double race winner at home to win the Dutch
08:43Grand Prix, his 12th win of the season from Prado, Geisser, the Hoff and Fevre, and the
08:49overall classification, Herrlin's going 1-1, Prado 2-2, Geisser 4-3, tying points with
08:54Glenn Koldenhoff, the Hoff just missing out on the podium, look how tight it is now at
08:58the top of MXGP, Geisser just 9 points clear of Prado, Herrlin's 26 further back, 35 separating
09:05the top 3 as we head to round 17, a week from now in Switzerland at Fraunfeld, Herrlin's
09:15new Grand Prix winner, Tim Geisser, the old red plate holder, by 9 points, finally got
09:23a good start I think it was P3 and I followed Glenn and Tim for a while, and just when I
09:28tried to attack I made a mistake and Gocher came past me and I tried to follow them and
09:31once they passed Glenn I straight passed Glenn as well and then I managed to pass Tim
09:35and obviously Gocher for the lead so really pumped with a 1-1 at home, so it's been a
09:39while since I won a home GP so I'm very happy with this and up to Switzerland next weekend.
