00:00Mikhail Mandrov and Roland Edouard coming on, Shona Iyengar going off and Alex Skogic is on that yellow card as well, so a great surprise there.
00:14Edouard is on loan from Shrewsbury, he's had some moments so far this season and Mandrov makes his 50th appearance for St Mirren scoring 11 goals in that time.
00:28He came through the famous Clairefontaine Academy in France.
00:38A lot of rain in Paisley today and the slick surface has suited Celtic again, I think he's enjoying the weather.
00:53It's the sort of day when you have to check that it is still August and summer.
01:05So a double change for St Mirren but they have a lot to do here if they are to salvage anything.
01:12The last time they beat Celtic in the league after conceding first was back in 1983, they were 2-0 down in that game actually and 1-4-2.
01:23A repeat seems highly unlikely.
01:29Steven Robinson positive in terms of making changes, I think the Gogic one was a bit of a no-brainer.
01:35He loves a tackle doesn't he?
01:40He didn't have a good first half in terms of on the ball, really lacked any control.
01:46Celtic this half is about concentration, not giving St Mirren a sniff.
01:53Kylian Philips was in and about, Atate there.
01:59A rare touch for Kasper Smeichel.
02:05Paulo Bernardo stepping into the midfield, into the Matt O'Reilly role.
02:24Alan McGregor's header, Atate, Fraser took it away from Maida and likewise Brown took it away from Forrest.
02:36Steven Robinson has a good track record in Scotland, had a fine job here with St Mirren, took Motherwell to two cup finals where Celtic were waiting for them in both.
02:57As he's come into St Mirren, he's really moved the club on.
03:05Top six finishers, European competition.
03:11Struggled to get themselves up the pitch this afternoon so far.
03:20St Mirren heading for a fourth defeat which would be their worst run since the early days when Steven Robinson took over.
03:28He actually lost eight of his first nine matches and there were certainly a few grumbles around these parts but just as well they stuck with him considering the way it's turned out.
03:39It's not turning out well today though as Atate surges forward and finds Forrest.
03:46And that is a good block from Richard Taylor.
03:48Well St Mirren have tried to press Celtic higher up the park in the second half and both the wing backs vacate the position.
03:54Celtic comfortable playing out from the back.
03:57You see James Forrest is onside, that's a crucial block from Taylor.
04:01Maybe he gets that first touch stuck under his feet a little bit.
04:05Cameron McGregor waiting to receive from Taylor.

12:41Michael. Scales, Taylor, Maida on the move, not even he is getting to them.
13:01There's a Maida who scored twice against Hibs in the League Cup last week, has
13:09scored on his last two visits to Paisley. A central striker wasn't he last weekend against Hibs, versatile.
13:26Looks like Celtic are about to bring on two subs, Kiyoko and Nicholas Kuhn.
13:33Taylor, Maida, Atate, Johnston, Atate gets it back from Forrest, Johnston across,
13:52St Mirren scrambled it away but only as far as Canna McGregor.
13:58He's gone down.
13:59McGregor was asking the question, it's Forrest,
14:11Hib by Johnston, McGregor, it's Greg Taylor and Johnston.
14:22Johnston leaning back in the end, I think Bernardo and Canna McGregor are asking the question.
14:29Why was a penalty not given? Well I think Canna McGregor actually ran into Roland Oduwu.
14:42Oduwu doesn't have to move.
14:48So Kiyoko is going to replace Adam Ida.
14:52Yeah, it was a possible Celtic penalty, I don't think it was.
15:04James Forrest will also come off for Nicholas Kuhn. Some surprise that Kuhn was on the bench
15:10today after scoring in the first three games but that was because of a back problem which
15:14prevented him training most of the week. Kiyoko has scored six goals in 11 games against St Mirren
15:21including in his last three matches against them. So two guys with goal potential at the moment
15:30coming on for the last half an hour or so.
15:36Kiyoko and Adam Ida dovetailed well didn't they last season.
15:42Ida good minutes in his legs there, best part of an hour.
15:46St Mirren back line will have a different type of striker to contend with now.
16:03The one thing Celtic will lack now with Adam Ida going off is physicality and height from set plays.
16:10So they've taken the high line again, third position.
16:24Mark O'Hara making the signals but
16:27Richard Taylor, I thought Caspers-Michael was going to get close to that. Richard Taylor got a bit closer.
16:34Could he have gotten the end of that? Richard Taylor is offside anyway
16:38so wouldn't have counted. A little standoff there with the goalkeeper.
16:56Taylor
17:08who has made a flying start doubling his Celtic goal tally by scoring in the opening three games.
17:29Hence why it would have been disappointing for him to miss training this week. He's gotten to
17:35a good flow for Celtic. Different proposition now for Jadon Brown, St Mirren wing back.
17:43Rory Balcombe served with a warning there by Kiyoko.
17:49I don't know if he saw Son's goal yesterday, Jordan Pickford, similar situation.
17:56I just wonder, Bernardo, how many minutes Brendan Rodgers is thinking about giving him or
18:08maybe the full 90 because he's certainly going to benefit from game time.
18:26So
18:38Taylor, Brown.
18:47Oh, those are murders fencing that
18:53and he won't be hanging around for long. Tate, some pass, some pick out that was
19:03and it's some save from Balcombe as Kuhn weaved his way through. Sloppy as anything
19:09apart from Taylor. He made it, did really well. Nicholas Kuhn in on that left foot,
19:17thought the back of the net was going to bulge. I don't know who made the block, that's an important
19:21one.
19:31I think it was Marcus Fraser that actually blocked it in the end, so I'm told.
19:43McGregor
20:01Russell William Scales
20:05Good pressure from Sean Rooney.
20:09Mention the next goal, Samir Nkenga, that'll give them a leg up going into these final stages.
20:18There's often a bit more in this second half, but need to do a lot more still and
20:24Rooney takes his throw, flicked on by Iacoviti, but easily claimed by Smycock
20:29and he's sending Dijsselmaarder on his way too. Taylor racing across as well to get there first.
20:39Brilliant from Schmeichel, never made it. He's going to win that foot race,
20:45but Taylor had to make the challenge and he did do.
20:59Here's Kuhn having a run at Brown, not quite able to link up with Johnston.
21:19Taylor just feeling the effects of this challenge, he's made a pace to burn.
21:26Taylor wanted to make it his and did do that to make it his.
21:36Johnston gave it to Brown.
21:50Samtec haven't managed anything on target in this second half,
22:01which leaves Semirin
22:05hopeful, a little bit anyway.
22:09Rooney's cross, Manderon.
22:10It's a perfect pass for Kyogo.
22:22Semirin certainly seeing more of the ball.
22:26Can they hurt Celtic? Not like that.
22:30When the cross went into Manderon there, he's unlucky. Took a good touch on his chest
22:37and Cameron Carter-Vickers really aware there and scrambled the ball clear.
22:45They'll feel Semirin has to live with the shout here.
22:50Next goal Celtic need to be ruthless, get that third, put this game to bed from their perspective.
22:59Tate, Johnston, Kyogo's in and Balkan makes a good save.
23:16Another crucial save, the run is tremendous from Kyogo, so intelligent, you can see he's on side.
23:24Should maybe try and lift that over Balkan, he's made a number of big saves in this game.
23:39Kyogo did score here in the Scottish Cup last season but hasn't scored away from home in the
23:44Premiership since last October, maybe today's the day.
23:50Maybe today's the day, Bernardo's corner fizzed its way in, played by O'Hara.
24:01He's thinking how fortunate he was there, Mark O'Hara, near post space, little chuckle there.
24:08The players might have been generous too.
24:24Bernardo will try again.
24:28Well he should score, he knows it, wicked ball in from Bernardo,
24:43but he's three what six yards out, sees it all the way, just doesn't get the connection.
24:50Trying to glance it into that far corner, gets it all wrong. Celtic in the last minute or two
24:58have had chances to absolutely bury this game.
25:06As a minor scored after 54 seconds here last season and
25:10wasn't even as quick as goal of the season.
25:12Hello Rooney.
25:27Phillips who was on loan at Aberdeen last season
25:36and actually missed the decisive penalty in the Scottish Cup semi-final shootout against Celtic.
25:43Robert O'Hart saved it if he's watching.
26:27Losing with menace, Johnstone, it's another fine finish for Celtic today
26:36and it's Alistair Johnstone this time removing any doubts, if indeed there were any,
26:44that Celtic are on course for another impressive victory.
26:49Game, set, match that for Celtic. Nicholas Kuhn is on side, he does well,
26:57just direct with his play and Johnstone who popped the ball out to him carries on his run.
27:02Good first touch, that's the key and then a ruthless finish into the roof of the net.
27:11No chance for Balcombe in the St Mirren goal, good link-up play
27:16from Celtic on that right hand side, no way back for St Mirren.
27:24His third Celtic goal, two of them have come here, his first one was a couple of seasons ago which
27:30he bundled in from close range, it looked more like an own goal but I think he was officially
27:36credited with it, why not?
27:41No doubt about that one, three fantastic finishes from the champions.
27:55Not that Brendan Rodgers would have been particularly worried with just that third goal,
28:00he knows now, it's basically job done.
28:13That third goal will signal two more changes with the arrival of
28:17Anthony Ralston and Odin Holm,
28:22there'll be a free kick here, Greg Taylor's been left in a heap.
28:25I actually missed this, I was following the ball but
28:42so Rooney involved, you know he's not shy, Rooney coming together there.
28:55There really is a kick out there for Rooney.
29:08Greg Taylor as well.
29:18So the changes are coming now, Apollo Bernardo will be replaced by the young Norwegian,
29:29Odin Holm and Anthony Ralston will be coming on for Greg Taylor.
29:39And St Mirren also about to make a change.
29:48William Phillips has made way for Wayson Smith who came on to score twice against
29:58Hibbs here on the opening weekend. His only goal in British football before that
30:10was a 30 yarder for Oxford.
30:19Seltzer can now make these changes.
30:33These substitutions seem to have taken a while to happen but as mentioned it's
30:39Taylor and Bernardo who will make way and Holm and Ralston who will come on.
30:46And important minutes for Bernardo, hasn't played enough this season,
30:54very obvious thing to say, it's a matter of Riley so he needs to get up to speed and
31:00Ralston right at left back and I'm sure he knows he's going to be in for a battle against Sean Rooney.
31:07Greg Taylor was on that yellow card after that incident with Rooney.
31:18No point in taking any chances with Celtic strolling it with a quarter of an hour to go.
31:37Celtic on easy street again, really confident a short start to the defense of their title.
31:57Warming up nicely for an old firm showdown a week today.
32:08Both players, Rooney and Taylor giving a yellow card there and Taylor a little shove on Rooney.
32:17There's a bit of a kick out, I think yellow's
32:22probably about right. It wasn't a full-blooded karate kick so we'll allow a yellow I think.
32:27Alessandria latching on to this, Mandron in the middle of scales trying to keep up
32:36and does keep up which is quite something when Alessandria is concerned.
32:42Well there's some here in front who haven't linked up well enough today but they do do on that occasion.
32:47Mandron with a decent touch and Alessandria with his running ability.
32:57Scales
33:11Scales
33:25Ralston for Johnston.
33:42Here's Maida, back now to Ralston.
33:52He's not natural lefty is he Ralston?
33:56He's trying to maneuver the ball onto that right foot so Celtic may be lacking a bit of balance.
34:05Only convincing start to the season for Brendan Rodgers who has
34:17won nine out of ten trophies available to him in Scotland.
34:26Across his two spells at Celtic. Big week ahead for them though with McIlroy gone and
34:32he'll be eager to see the new faces coming in before the transfer window closes.
34:43Yeah it's a big week I think in terms of performances pre-season the start of the season
34:50not easy fixtures progression there from all sorts of players on the right hand side.
35:02Hold him home took that off.
35:18Apologies if you picked up any swearing there.
35:21So
35:39he relishes shuttling players down doesn't he?
35:43Maida probably the best pressing footballer in the world I think.
35:56It's quite a statement.
35:59Well name a better one then.
36:04I'm still waiting.
36:06I'll take it.
36:07I'm torn by Phillips turned away by Atate.
36:23They just haven't been able St Mirren to put Celtic under any real sustained pressure.
36:28We're only ready for the long throw.
36:34Iacoviti the initial potential target and he does flick it on.
36:42Well Iacoviti only really screaming for a handball.
36:51He does well wins the first header.
36:53And now the ball actually has to hit the the hand for handball.
37:01Even these days.
37:11To the final 10 minutes plus whatever will be added on in Paisley.
37:24Holm, Kuhn, Atate waiting edge of area.
37:32It's actually Ralston who did come on and score against Kilmarnock in the opener.
37:39Well he had Falcom thinking for a second.
37:45Can he just bend in?
37:47Good from Kuhn again inside on that left foot under pressure.
37:51Weighted pass allowed him to come on to that first time.
37:59This time next week we'll all be watching this Celtic against Rangers.
38:04Next Sunday from 11.30 on Sky Sports Football.
38:15It's been held up in the wind somewhat.
38:21He's wised up although he needs to release that quickly.
38:35I cannot believe he's fallen for that twice.
38:38The first time you think you would have just
38:42Wised up really and Falcom got away with that one.
38:49Players will soon come on to that sort of thing though.
39:07Scales.
39:12Atate helps it on to might it up.
39:26Best player on the pitch today in trio Atate.
39:29Expect the guys to give him player of the match.
39:33You never know with that trio.
39:38We'll find out soon.
40:11Cutter-Vickers home.
40:19Nicholas Kuhn now.
40:24Maida.
40:27Oh Maida fluffing that one.
40:32Yeah that that was wild.
40:35Nicholas Kuhn really good feet.
40:38Couldn't get the shot off.
40:40I thought he was going to try and shift it on the inside and bend the ball into
40:45try and bend the ball into the far corner.
40:47I was wrong.
40:49Wild attempt.
40:54Steven Robertson's Samir in staring at another defeat.
40:58Facing Dundee next who is scoring for fun.
41:01Mandron.
41:12Michael Smothers.
41:13I think he'll be brought back for a free kick to say Miranda.
41:18So
41:28it only scored 46 goals in the premiership last season.
41:32Only the bottom three scored less but of course they were
41:36so defensively sound for the most part.
41:40Solid foundations.
41:42I wonder whether they'll try and create an angle for a better angle St Mirren.
41:48Bahara towards Taylor and Iacoviti and the latter will get to this.
41:56Rousted on his case in the corner.
42:11So they're going to bring on 18-year-old Ethan Sutherland shortly.
42:21But just his fourth appearance.
42:24He came on at Dundee United last weekend in the League Cup as well.
42:33Alessandria is the man who's going to make way prior to the corner.
42:36And another 18-year-old Francis Turley is going to come on
42:59for his Celtic debut for the closing stages after this corner.
43:06Bahara.
43:09Speichel got something on it.
43:12Jadon Brown ready to send it back in.
43:15That was painful for McGregor but he's quickly back on his feet.
43:22Rooney for Mandrom.
43:28That's awful from Mandrom.
43:30A blind pass.
43:31Got to take greater care of the ball.
43:36McGregor.
43:42Nicholas Kuhn racing on to this and there's a few ready to join him in the middle.
43:47Including Kiyoko but Taylor steers it away for now.
43:52Oops, that was a good clearance from Kiyoko.
43:54It's unlucky Nicholas Kuhn.
43:56Kiyoko pulling to the far post.
43:57Taylor spotted the danger.
44:01There was a shank from Kiyoko.
44:07Here Atate with another colossal performance.
44:12The Celtic will make way.
44:15Terrific goal and a big moment this for the 18-year-old who came from Glentoren a couple
44:22of years back.
44:23A moment he will always remember.
44:26First taste of first team action for young Turley.
44:35Scales just had a bit of blood on his face there which he got attended to.
44:43There are going to be five extra minutes.
44:46Ohara.
44:48Sutherland.
45:01Oh,
45:02oh,
45:04oh,
45:06oh,
45:08oh,
45:10oh,
45:12oh,
45:15oh,
45:17Job done effectively and efficiently from Celtic again.
45:23They could win their first three games in a premiership season without conceding a goal
45:28for the first time since 2010.
45:33That's a good start.
45:35Samoan will probably go and score now or get blamed.
45:39I think on the face of things, you know, tricky start to the season.
45:41Kilmarnock, Hibbs away where Celtic haven't always found it easy and then
45:46St Mirren in their backyard.
45:51It's pretty impressive.
46:09Oh,
46:16Turley.
46:26McGregor.
46:36Hull.
46:39Douglas-Kuhn. Johnston has raced forward.
46:48Karthikekar's impeded by Mandron.
46:51Today's official match, a team that's 6,948, 6,948.
46:58As always, thank you for your continued support.
47:03Callum McGregor now.
47:06Tony Ralston.
47:08Well, the guys in the studio have agreed with you, Chris.
47:21The man of the match is Rayo Hatate and his figures aren't too shabby.
47:27Now, there you go.
47:29First in every aspect for Celtic.
47:34And with Mander Reilly looking like he's heading off,
47:39then he's got to step up.
47:42Such a quality player.
47:43He's always been for Celtic.
47:45Missed a large part of last season through injury.
47:52Mandron.
47:55Turley moves in.
47:57And a free kick for Turley.
48:03Tenacious from Turley.
48:06With a little tug in his jersey.
48:15Apologies again if you picked up any language that might have offended you.
48:27Hara onto this.
48:34Not for long, though, as Odin Holm moved in on him.
48:37Turley getting a few touches.
48:43And again.
48:47Halfway through stoppage time.
49:07The Celtic will surely have a few new additions before they face Rangers next weekend.
49:23I think Brendan Rodgers, certainly in his press conference
49:27this week, talked about the need for more quality.
49:37Just about domestic football at an upper level and compete in the Champions League.
49:44This week, I think, is going to be one to watch.
49:48Turley stepping in there again.
50:06So
50:20Champions League draw on Thursday for Celtic.
50:25Rangers at home on Sunday.
50:33An international break then, which will mean a rest for a change.
50:37Callum McGregor, of course.
50:41Having retired from international football, saving his best for Celtic.
50:45And he's been at his best.
50:48Talked from his usual contribution.
50:51Two great goals as well here today.
50:54And at hips.
50:56Here is the captain, Niall Ralston.
51:02Such great awareness.
51:04Such an intelligent footballer.
51:06McGregor knits everything together.
51:12All these victories are turning into routine victories for Brendan Rodgers.
51:17And Celtic, they boss this game in similar fashion to others this season.
51:24The head after just three minutes with another cracker from the captain, Callum McGregor.
51:31And if that was a good finish, so was the second from the man of the match,
51:35Rao Hattate, clinical manager.
51:38And he's got a good game.
51:39And he's got a good game.
51:41And he's got a good game.
51:42And he's got a good game.
51:42And he's got a good game.
51:42And he's got a good game.
51:43And he's got a good game.
51:43And he's got a good game.
51:44Rao Hattate, clinical.
51:47And then Alistair Johnston popped up with a third that wasn't too bad either.
51:52Three good goals.
51:54Three good points.
51:56And the champions quickly in the groove at the start of this season.
52:02No wonder they're all smiles in the paisley rain.
52:06It finishes.
52:07St Mirren 0, Celtic 3.
