00:00I mean, to be honest, it's mostly just the two of us trying to make each other laugh,
00:03which is like, that's kind of it.
00:05We have shared pretty similar sensibility and taste and stuff like that.
00:09But yeah, I mean, as you learn from doing and from watching movies, it's not a hot
00:16take in any sense of anything, because everyone says that.
00:20But it is true.
00:21I mean, like, you know, I would stay at this sort of, like, when I was 12 years old, I
00:27was so interested in movie making, I would stay after Stranger Things, like, after work
00:31every day, until they would wrap, you know, or until my parents dragged me away, and so
00:37then I had to go to bed, and I would just watch them direct.
00:40And I would, like, just, they would take me around and show me how to direct.
00:45And Billy, like, made films with his friends all through high school, he went to art school
00:49in our high school.
00:51And then, yeah, you went to film school for a very long time as well.
00:55I went to film school for a very, very long time.
00:57And then, I went to film school for not a very long time.
01:00But I, I don't know, yeah, I started acting because I wanted to make movies, and I wanted
01:06to, I wanted to, I wanted to see, you know, I don't know, I just wanted to be on set.
01:13I grew up, I would visit my dad on set sometimes, and I loved it, and I just wanted, I loved
01:17acting as well.
01:18And I thought, if the film school thing doesn't work out, maybe I can just act until I get
01:22a chance to direct.
01:23And I was so fortunate that it just happened to happen sooner than I thought it would.
01:28But I'm really proud of the movie, and it is weird.
01:30I think it will stand on its own, because it is, like, it just, yeah, but it's just
01:36so inspired by all the movies that just, like, formed us growing up.
01:41And it really does feel like the film that best represents, kind of, us as friends.
01:47And that, to me, really helped take a lot of the pressure off of, like, this is your
01:50debut film, like, don't blow it.
01:51And I was like, well, I'm making it with my friend, like, if it fails, we fail together.
01:56Exactly.
01:57And I was like, so it's like, oh, that's not my debut film, that was my debut co-directing.
02:00Yeah, yeah.
02:01That was my co-debut.
02:02Yeah, yeah.
02:03But, no, just, it helps you get out of your head, and it just really did come back down
02:07to, like, on set, during the writing, anything, just does this make Finn laugh, does this
02:11make our friends laugh?
02:12And I think that, in my experience, I think a lot of people will sort of hopefully laugh
02:19as well.
02:20Yeah.
02:21I mean, it's inspired by movies that a lot of people like, it's not, like, crazy.
02:25So we'll, I mean, you know, we'll see, but I'm proud of it.
02:28Yeah, me too.
02:29I think people are gonna like it.
02:30Me too.
