00:00Now's the time to be betting the Astros because it's been doom and gloom, but this is a veteran
00:09team and they know what to do.
00:11They flipped the switch in the second half and they know what they've got to figure out
00:15and the kinks they've got to work out.
00:16Oh, the Kyle Tucker situation too, him missing all that time.
00:19That was a real killer for this team, not to mention Verlander and a couple other injuries
00:23that had a pitching staff too.
00:24They lost Javier earlier in the year and let's not forget too, Hunter Brown was abysmal for
00:28the first month of the season too.
00:30So a lot of rotation issues, a lot of health issues all together for that team collectively.
00:35But what you have to always put your stock into is veteran leadership and veteran teams.
00:40And eventually those teams, they know what they've got to do at a certain point in the
00:43season in order to flip that switch, like I said, and get into the playoffs.
00:46Now getting to a point where they're five and a half games up on Seattle, where they
00:49are now, that is an indictment of, of the laziness of the Seattle organization and the
00:54front office.
00:55You know, I've been pounding the table about this for the entire off season to ask Hernandez
01:00left and everybody thought, well, yeah, I'll task Hernandez isn't special player.
01:03And it's not that he's not a special player.
01:04You needed some line of protection for Julio Rodriguez.
01:07The offense was abysmal.
01:08They were number one on the board about a month ago on pitching an ERA and team ERA.
01:12They were 28th in baseball and run scored.
01:15You cannot sustain that kind of model.
01:17You have to score runs to win major league games.
01:20And the Seattle Mariners, frankly, just hadn't done enough to get enough bodies in that line
01:25up and line up protection for Julio Julio struggled.
01:28All of a sudden it gets worse.
01:29You start to pounding it mentally.
01:31And then of course, yeah, eventually you bring in a Rosarito and that's great.
01:34That is going to be there next year, but you've got to bring in more than that too.
01:37You have to assemble an actual offense as good as this pitching is.
01:40I thought it would carry them.
01:41I thought they would be more aggressive in the season besides just a Rosarito, but you
01:45know, it's too little too late right now when you've seen the Astros just blow by everybody.
