Starship Troopers: Extermination is playable at gamescom 2024. Publisher Knights Peak and developer Offworld are inviting gamescom visitors to do their part and experience the 16-player-multiplayer-game Starship Troopers: Extermination in Hall 10.1, Booth E021. Visitors can look forward to co-operative confrontations against the merciless arachnids and photos with a life-sized bug.   Starship Troopers: Extermination will leave Early Access on Steam on October 11th, 2024 and will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players will be sent to the front lines of a war against the Arachnids on all platforms, where they must work together to complete tasks, collect resources, build a base and defend it.  Players can look forward to new enemies, new planets and a new single-player mode at release, which offers an action-packed experience with Star Power by Casper Van Dien. 00:00Hi, I'm Chas Barker, I'm the game designer of Starship Troopers Extermination.

00:07Let me tell you about something we're introducing to the game.

00:09It's this monstrosity of a tank, but in bug shape.

00:14It's called the Tanker Bug.

00:15It has a suite of different moves that it's going to ruin your day with.

00:19We're trying to make the Tanker Bug experience as close to the movie as possible.

00:29It's going to do as much damage as possible before it probably gets mad at you.

00:35I'm Tamiris Parat, aka Tammy.

00:37I'm the lead environment artist on Starship Troopers Extermination.

00:41Voreus, this is an icy planet that has been infected by a bug meteor.

00:47The bugs have had time to mutate and evolve within that frosty environment.

00:53That's where our players are going to be able to encounter the Frost Drone and the Frost

00:58Warrior.

00:59So we're very excited to introduce this new biome to you guys and we really hope that

01:04you guys enjoy it.

01:08I'm Peter Maurice, project lead for Starship Troopers Extermination.

01:12Our goal for single player is to introduce a new way to progress your character and prepare

01:17you for 16 player multiplayer.

01:19A really cool aspect that we wanted was bringing General Rico in.

01:23He's now in charge of a special operations group.

01:27He's forming the best of the best from all military branches and he's invited you to

01:32come and try out for a special operations group.

01:36When we launch in console in October of 2024, that is just the start of a very robust roadmap

01:43of features and gameplay moments that we'll be bringing in.

01:47So you can expect to see tons more bugs and worlds to explore in Starship Troopers Extermination.
