00:00Senator Jingoy Estrada was convicted for one count of direct bribery and two counts of indirect bribery including the pork barrel scam.
00:14This is according to the appeal that was filed by the senator.
00:17Estrada said that the court justified his first statement that he did not receive a bribe, direct or not.
00:24The entire appeal was not given by the accused fellow, Janet Lim Napoles.
00:29However, the Graff Court overturned his conviction to Napoles for one count of direct bribery that is equivalent to the conviction of Estrada.
00:38The conviction of Napoles remains for four counts of corruption of public officials.
00:45Because of that, he was sentenced to 8 to 10 years and 8 months in prison for each count of conviction.
00:53He was also fined more than Php 29.6 million,
00:58aside from more than Php 262 million in civil liability with 6% interest every year.
