00:00Cricket is trying to become a truly global sport. Getting cricket to enter USA via the T20 World Cup was one way.
00:07The sport in its T20 format has finally made it to the Olympics where it will debut at the Los Angeles edition in 2028 in its T20 format.
00:16So cricket is trying its best to become a sport of overarching umbrella that Olympics signifies.
00:25But guess what, if you wanted an ambassador to truly bring sports personalities from across various disciplines under one roof,
00:32you needn't look past Turkey's Yusuf Dikech.
00:35This uber-cool pistol shooter has inspired a celebration move that has caught on like fire.
00:41With cricketers too now joining the bandwagon, the Olympics is long over but Dikech is continuing to make waves.
00:48Sport somehow always celebrated the effort.
00:54How exhausting it looks somehow would make that achievement or that moment stand out more.
01:04So when a very casual, non-sports-like persona does stunning things, you have to notice.
01:14And that's how the world sat up to take note of Istanbul shooter Yusuf Dikech.
01:21I mean, what's not to love? At an age when you're constantly on the lookout for anything that's fuss-free,
01:29here comes along a shooter who looks anything but like one.
01:34Dikech, with his casual pose, non-threatening and almost underwhelming demeanour, did some very overwhelming stuff.
01:43He pocketed silver in the air pistol event and somehow managed to topple the gold medalist.
01:50Because the Olympics event may have long got over, but Dikech continues to be a massive talking point.
01:57That's true blue influencer material right there.
02:01It of course started off at the Games itself.
02:06When Armand Duplantis, the gold medal winning Olympic record setting pole vaulter,
02:10decided to celebrate the monumental achievement Dikech style.
02:15And it didn't stop with him. The pole vault gold medal winning athlete over in the women's category wanted in on it.
02:24Australia's Nina Kennedy went full hitman pose, that's what it's called now, after winning a historic first gold.
02:31Paying another tribute to the internet sensation.
02:38And then Jamaican athlete Roger Stoner, who created history winning a discus throw gold with a new Olympic record,
02:45well, after the win the 25-year-old celebrated by posing in Dikech style.
02:51Think about it, not just gold medalists, they created records and decided to honour that by paying respect to one man who had taken the Olympics by storm.
03:06And the repercussions were truly felt over in the UK where the 100 tournament is underway.
03:11From a Jamaican to a neighbour Trinidadian.
03:15West Indian former captain and a T20 giant Kiren Pollard decided to become a Dikech doppelganger too.
03:21After taking a catch he paused to celebrate, pointing the finger gun.
03:29His team mate and fellow West Indian Akhil Hossain followed suit.
03:32He posed in a similar fashion after he took a wicket.
03:35To think it's now not just an internet meme fest anymore.
03:40Dikech is much more.
03:42He set a tradition, that of being cool and unfazed in the face of pressure.
03:47That's what he symbolises now and his impact is seen across sporting disciplines and countries.
03:53Absolutely everyone has taken note of this shooter.
03:57So the next time you want to celebrate a moment, don't go for boring fist bumps or mechanical high fives.
04:03Get the Dikech mode on and do the hitman instead.
04:10Climate change is on our doorstep.
04:15It's time for a revolution to take root.
04:19And it starts with 1.4 billion Indians.
04:24It starts with one tree.
04:26One tree for humanity.
04:29One tree for Mother Earth.
04:32One tree for our future.
