00:00One of the leaders for the agitation and declaration of Biafra Republic from Nigeria
00:04and the Prime Minister of Biafra government in exile, Simon Epa on Tuesday in a video broadcast
00:09released the map of the proposed 40 states of Biafra Republic with the declaration and naming
00:14of Ekpoma, Aouchi and El communities which are the administrative headquarters of Essan West,
00:19Essakor West and Uhumwon local government areas of Edo state as Biafra land.
00:25Many historians have agreed that Igbo-speaking people dominant in some few communities
00:29in Edo state were brought into the communities like the Ibamke community often described as
00:34Igbo-Akiri by the detained leader of indigenous people of Biafra, Aikob Unambikano as slaves by
00:40B'ni slave-breders. Meaning the lands were probably already the ancestral home of Edo people before
00:46the 15th-16th centuries when B'ni slave-breders brought in people from afar to the border towns.
00:53Unambikano in an online interview conducted by Dele Momodu, the founder of Overshon magazine,
00:59years ago before his rearrest by Nigeria's security operatives said Biafra land starts
01:04and ends where women tie to pieces of rapper. Unambikano refused to be specific about the
01:09map of the proposed Biafra land as requested by the journalist Dele Momodu but insisted that
01:15Biafra land cut across 13 states in Nigeria with specific mentioning of Edo state, Benue state,
01:20Kogi state amongst others. Simon Epa while unveiling the proposed map of the Biafra Republic
01:27said December 2, 2024 have been fixed for referendum. Adding that after the referendum,
01:33there may be more years of battle before the actualization of the Biafra Republic.
01:38In the map and listing of the 40 states of the proposed Biafra Republic, Simon Epa named the
01:43states capital cities and former Nigeria states where the Biafra territories were created from
01:48as follow. 40 united states of Biafra, state capital former state, 1 Aba Aba Abia, 2 Adoka,
01:57Conchitia, Owa, Benue, 3 Afemaye, Igodomi, Godo, Auchi, Edo, 4 Abo Abo, Delta, 5 Ahodea, Ahodea,

02:5522 Igbani, Boni, Bayelsa, 23 Ikemba, Ocha, Anambra, 24 Ikom, Obubra, Oje, Cross River,
03:0425 Ikumezia, Omuahe, Agia, 26 Itai, Ikotepene, Akwa, Ibon, 27 Iwere, Sapele, Delta, 28 Wanroha,

03:34Iwo, 35 Omambala, Onitsha, Anambra, 36 Oyu, Oyu, Iwo, 37 Oweri, Oweri, Iwo, 38 Kwaket, Akwa, Ibon,
03:4639 South Atlantic, Sabama, Bayelsa, 40 Orobo, Isoko, Ugeli, Delta. That aside, on June 5, 2017,
03:56a student historian, simply identified as Omorege, posted a research project he conducted on the
04:03topic, the origin of Igbamke people in Edo State, on Ireland and part of the historical study reads
04:09thus, Igbamke is located in Oheumon Local Government Area, Edo State. Igbamke, by name
04:15is in Oheumon Local Government Area, but geographically, we do not share common
04:20boundary with any community in the council. From the eastern flank, Igbamke shares common
04:26boundary with Ambere, an Igla-speaking community in Delta State, from west it's bounded by Ongada,
04:32another Igla-speaking community in Uvumwud Local Government Area in Edo State.
04:38In the northern state, Igbamke has boundary with Epon, Igla-speaking community in
04:43Igwebin Local Government Area while from the south, it has Abo and Ozanogogo,
04:48Ika communities in Delta State as neighbors. Igbamke is in Edo South Senatorial District.
04:55Igbamke people and community came under the Bini Empire during the latter's expansionist program.
05:01Most of other Ika-speaking communities that were conquered by Bini Empire same time with
05:05Igbamke have gotten their independence in Delta State while Igbamke, Ongada, Otobeye,
05:11Iru, Epon and Obeka, etc. are selfishly scattered in three local government areas.
05:17Another historian posted as documented by Wikipedia that Igbamke consists of six villages
05:22which came together from the earliest times preceding the slave trade era. The people of
05:27Idumodin, Ake, Omoluwa, Oligi, Wata, and Ibonto are the villages that came together to establish
05:34their settlement which over the years has been referred to as Igbamke. Wikipedia captured another
05:40historian saying, the modern borders of Edo State encompasses regions that were formerly the site
05:46of various empires and kingdoms of the second dynasty formed in the 11th century AD, the Bini
05:52Empire. Adding, Edo State borders Kogi State to the north for 133 kilometers and across the Niger
05:59River for 81 kilometers to the northeast, Anambra State to the east for about 4 kilometers across
06:04the Niger River, Delta State to the southeast and south for 350 kilometers, 218 miles, and Ondo
06:12State to the west. Simon Epa said December 2, 2024 is the date to present its 40 United States
06:20of Biafra map and issue a declaration. According to him, this move is to further consolidate the
06:25actualization of Biafra's independence. The Biafra government is presenting the complete
06:31map of Biafra in preparation for the 2nd of December 2024, he stated. There are reports
06:38that Epa recently engaged former United States lawmaker and lobbyist James Moran to help convince
06:43the U.S. government to support Biafra's secession from Nigeria. Okay, so do you have
06:52a map for Biafra? Where will it start from and where will it end?
07:02First of all, do you know that if I ask you now, Dele,
07:06how many states do you have Igbo people in Nigeria? How many states will they tell me?
07:11It's a simple question. I would say everywhere. No, no, I mean where they are indigenous to,
07:19where they come from. The Igbo people in Lagos are not from Lagos, the Igbo people. If I ask you
07:25right now, how many states in Nigeria do you think that Igbo people are indigenous to? How
07:32many would you say? Five? Southeast states? Is that what you would say? Yes. I have a surprise
07:40for you, it is 13. Igbo people are indigenous to 13 states of Nigeria, 13. As I told you,
07:48those who created Nigeria are in charge of Nigeria. And in order to weaken, to diminish,
07:55to render irrelevant, every aspiration of an Igbo man, Britain decided to advise the Janjaweed
08:03Caliphate to keep redrawing the map until we now have only five states. Igbo people are in 13
08:10states. And now let me answer your question. The map of Biafra starts from wherever women tie
08:17two-piece wrapper and ends where they stop tying two-piece wrapper. In other words, Biafra land
08:25starts from Kugi in the north, in Igala land, Iduma, Igede, all the way to Kudumikudu, Idu land,
08:35in Udo, and going down to Bakasi, after Cross River State, and to Boni, and to Obobo in the south.
08:44All these are Biafran territories, because if you go there, all you need is 13 states.
08:51I want the 13 states. You want me to name for you the 13 states that make up? Yes, please.
08:59Kugi, are there Igbo people in Kugi? I'm sure the answer is yes. Yes. Indigenous. Are there Igbo
09:07people in Udo State? Yes. We agree. In Udo State, there are Igbo people. I'm not talking about
09:14two Biafra, which is an issue. We'll come to that later. I'm even talking about a place called Igbo
09:19Akari. Igbo Akari. Are there Igbo people in Delta State? Yes. Are there Igbo people in Benue? In
09:27Benue State, I'm asking you. Is the community is in Benue State? They speak Igbo. The largest
09:34market you have in Benue belong to the Igbo communities in Benue State. Are there Igbo
09:40people in Cross River? Yes. Igbo people are in Cross River. Are Igbo people in Akwa Ibom? Yes,
09:49you too. It's in Akwa Ibom. Are there Igbo people in River State? Are there Igbo people there? Of
09:57course, there are. 90% of River State is Igbo. Are there Igbo people in Biafra? And you'll be
10:03shocked. Y-E-S is the answer. There are Igbo speaking people inside Biafra itself. Till
10:11tomorrow morning. The same way you have Igbo people in Udo. Are there Igbo people in all the
10:17five? I've counted for you the six states that make up the so-called South-South.
10:22South-South. Yeah, you've mentioned nine now. Nine states. One, two, three. Kogi, Edo, Benue,
10:32Cross River, Akwa Ibom Rivers, Bayelsa, Udo. Have you added? No, not in Udo. Igbo is not in
10:41Udo. What is in Udo is Ijo. Ijo is in Udo, not Igbo. But Ijo is Biafra. And we'll get to that
10:48later. And then you add the five Southeastern states. You have Igbo, you have Anambra, you
10:53have Enugu, you have Eboni, you have Abia. Add all of them together. Igbo, Anambra, Eboni, Abia,
11:06Enugu, Enugu, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve. I think
11:21one is missing somewhere. One cannot be. Six states of the South-South, five states of the
11:31Southeast, then Kogi and Benue. And then you get thirteen. In all these places, you have, I'm not
11:37telling you about where they are trading, where they are doing business. People from there are
11:42Igbo. They are indigenous. You think Kogi would agree to go with Biafra? No, no, it's about a
11:53referendum. We are asking, what we're asking for is that part of Kogi, where women tie two-piece
12:00wrapper. That's all. Your mother will tell you where you come from. If you look at your mother,
12:06when she dresses up to go to church, or to go to a function, and she's tying two-piece wrapper,
12:12one on top of the other, then you know you're a Biafran. And that's what they do in Kogi.
12:17In Enugu state, in Benue state, in Cross River state, all the way down, you can go all the way
12:26down to Edo state, it is there. Till tomorrow morning. Don't you think you are likely to hit
12:33the brick wall if you try to go expansionist, if I could put it that way? I am an Igbo man,
12:45with all due respect, my dear brother, the Yoruba may be comfortable leaving Yoruba people in Togo
12:50and the Benue Republic and calling somebody from Sokoto state, dear brother, I don't intend to do
12:55that. Wherever you have Igbo people, they must be together as one. We are not leaving anybody
13:00behind. We cannot leave anybody behind. It was the Fulani Janjawood and the British that caused
13:06this problem. You cannot come to my land, you take an Igbo community, you give them to Benue,
13:12you give them to Kogi, and you say they're from the north. Orhanese may tolerate it,
13:16I will not tolerate it. I can't tolerate it. I am not going to leave one single Igbo community
13:22anywhere. They must be part of Biafra. They must be part of Biafra. What happens, let's say
13:31the other people that you are fighting get provoked and they decide to call your love and
13:37say, okay, Igbo people in Kaduna, in Katsina, in Sokoto should attend to Israel. How would that
13:46fit into your plan?
13:47Quite frankly. Before you answer, let me do it as a warning. And what if the Igbos in those places
13:56say they are not interested in joining you? Hallelujah. We say good riddance. Everything
14:04we are doing is based on the consent of the people. There must be a referendum, or should I say
14:12a referenda, which is the plural, right across the board. We are going to ask people
14:19ethnicity by ethnicity, where they wish to belong. If they say we want to be part of the Janja
14:26Widnoth, we are once in a while, you lose your daughter, your wife could be raped. Oh, well,
14:31I'm good. We'll let them go. I am a Democrat. I'm not going to force anybody to do anything.
14:36And Biafra must come via a referendum. People must agree to it. We are not forcing anyone to
14:40do anything. Everything we are saying and doing is geared towards one outcome, a referendum.
14:47If they agree, fine. They don't agree. So who is going to organize this referendum that you've
14:53been talking about? The United Nations will have to organize it at the right time. They will.
14:58If it is not organized, what is your plan B?
15:03We will continue with civil unrest and civil disobedience, boycott of elections,
15:14as one of our great heroes said, we will boycott all boycottables until we get what we want.
15:22The British never wanted to leave Africa, but they did. Russia never wanted the Soviet Union
15:27to break up, but it did. Serbia never wanted Yugoslavia to break up, but it did.
15:33Sudan never wanted South Sudan. They never wanted South Sudan to be free, but they are free today.
15:38Ethiopia never wanted Eritrea to be free, but today Eritrea is free. So that tells you all you
15:43need to know. It is not in their hands, because you know what? Power belongs to the people.
15:49Anything we want is what we are going to get.
15:54Good afternoon, fellow Biafrans all over the world. Today is 20th day of August 2024,
16:00and I am here speaking to you from my base in Finland.
16:05I want to inform every one of you, because it has become very imperative,
16:09as we approach December convention in Finland, you must know certain things.
16:17The declaration of the restoration of independence of Biafra that is to take place on the 2nd of
16:21December is targeted at achieving two objectives. One is the delegitimization of Nigeria.
16:31Two is the legitimization of Biafra.
16:37After the declaration, we are going to have a very long battle with Nigeria,
16:44but this battle, the good news is that we define how this battle will be fought.
16:50We will fight them diplomatically, we will fight them politically,
16:54we will fight them internationally, and of course, we will fight them locally.
17:00So, the 2nd of December is not after that some of you will come and say,
17:05oh, there is still military barracks, you are going to have them.
17:10But let me tell you, if the Vietnamese fought America for years and succeeded
17:18in making America to flee, we are ready to fight Nigeria even more than what the Vietnamese did.
17:29And we dictate how this particular war will be fought.
17:33We are never going into conventional warfare with Nigeria.
17:36But in delegitimization, we take a different turn.
17:40And what I am trying to tell you people today is that you must be prepared for a very long
17:46years of battle for the legitimacy of Biafra government.
17:53It is not something that happens in one day.
17:55It is not something that happens immediately after our declaration on 2nd of December.
17:59On 2nd of December, we mark the beginning of a very long battle,
18:05which we are going to show our determination with our actions and inactions.
18:11So, my fellow Biafrans, all I am here to tell you this afternoon is for you to understand
18:16that after the declaration on 2nd of December 1924, the battle begins.
18:25We are not going to stop.
18:27If it is going to take us 20 years to fight Nigeria differently than what we did in 1967 and 1970,
18:36we are ready for it.
18:38If it takes also 23 years for Taliban to defeat America and they left their land,
18:47we are ready to fight even 40 years.
18:50Since 1967 to 1924, Nigeria continued to fight us.
18:56The only thing is that we have not fought Nigeria until now.
19:01And in this fight, we are still defending ourselves.
19:05So, 2nd of December, we mark the beginning of the Biafran liberation.
19:08Do not expect something or any magic to happen.
19:10We will make the magic to happen.
19:12Thank you and may God bless you.
