Sneak peek of the set up of Victorious Festival 2024

00:00Hello, I am Terri Rawls, I'm the Head of Community and Partnership Development for

00:11Victorious Festival. I'm also a Non-Exec Director for Portsmouth Creates. This weekend

00:17is Victorious Festival down in Southsea, on Southsea Common in the surrounding area, on

00:23the bank holiday weekend, which is the 23rd, 24th and 25th of August. Down on site you

00:30will have a beautiful kids area which is one of Europe's largest kids area at any UK festival.

00:42Everything in it is included in your ticket price, so we like to think that makes it nice

00:47and affordable and family friendly, so it's everything from face painting to the beach

00:52with sand castles and buckets and spades, cupcake decorating, the juvenile rides, colouring,

00:59the kids stage, all the meet and greets, everything from Spongebob to fire breathing dragons.

01:06Also this year, new, we've got one of Europe's largest bouncy castles, so that's not to be

01:12missed, and we work with loads of lovely local community groups, so check out all of those

01:18while you're down on site. Back for this year, we're very excited to have the seaside

01:24stage back in the bandstand area, which is presented by Beats and Swing. That beautiful

01:30location has reopened since the sea defences are all finished in that area now, so those

01:36glorious views across the Solent, you'll be able to feast your eyes on those and of course

01:41enjoy the stunning sunsets. In total across Victorious, we've got 13 stages, including

01:51acts like Fatboy Slim, Snow Patrol, Jamie T, Becky Hill, Wetleg, Biffy Clyro, not to mention

02:01Barioki, and of course all our lovely comedy acts as well, plus hundreds of local artists

02:09who we're very proud of and extremely pleased that they're joining us at the festival.

02:14We love Portsmouth, frankly, we're all local, this is a local event run by local crew,

02:22lots of lovely local contractors, extremely talented artists, caterers, traders, but although

02:30it's a local event, we very much feel that it's of a national and international scale,

02:36and we very much want to put Portsmouth on the map.

02:39So tickets are still available, so we very much hope to see you there at the weekend.
