00:00A number of people go through Regis, you know what I mean, and there have been customers here, and we've spoken to them, and then, you know, said,
00:08oh, it's not far off, they've got these hurdles to get through. There's been hurdles the whole way, which is good, you know what I mean,
00:14that means that things are being done properly. So, you know, I never had a problem with the procedure, they had to follow, but now that, you know,
00:24it's just got to this point, like, it's just like, talk about pull the rug from underneath it, like, imagine staff at Regis,
00:32you know, they'd be gutted, they'd be shell-shocked, you know, like, heck, now, why now? After all this time, why now have they decided
00:41that they're going to use this Aboriginal case to pull the bullet? Yeah.
00:50And if it did go ahead, what did you think your business would have looked like?
00:54Well, obviously, you know, you wouldn't expect an immediate impact, you know what I mean, like, we're eight years in from buying the business,
01:03you know, we said they were probably, you know, two to five years off the mine opening, you know what I mean, so, like, right now,
01:10I would have thought that the mine would be probably fully functional, you know what I mean, and we would have seen a lot more, you know,
01:17it would have been good for foreboding, you know what I mean, there's not much in the Central West, you know, opportunity-wise, for young people, you know,
01:27other than Kady and mine and, you know, agriculture, but other than that, like, I, you know, I think it would have been a good thing foreboding in that regard,
01:37you know, I think Regis had tried to set up a mining school in the industrial area, so the vision was that they would finish their schooling,
01:51whether it be Year 10 or HSC, and then they could go to the Regis Mining School and learn about mining and get maybe a future or a career in the mining industry,
02:03you know, that fell over as well, like, there's been a lot of money invested in getting the mine to a position where it's at,
02:12which is that every, every, every point they've got to, it's fallen over, you know what I mean, which is frustrating, you know,
02:19I know that there's a lot of young kids who, you know, they need something to work for, you know, you don't want to see kids leaving the area because there's nothing here for them to do.
