00:00U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has proposed to increase the corporate tax rate to 28 percent
00:06if she is elected president in November.
00:09The Harris camp says the move is a responsible way of putting money back in the pockets of
00:13working people while also ensuring that billionaires and big corporations contribute their fair
00:19share as well.
00:20Harris' presidential rival Donald Trump slashed the corporate tax to 21 percent from 35 percent
00:27and also implemented tax breaks that are set to expire next year.
00:31In stark contrast to the Democratic candidate, Trump has vowed to make such cuts permanent
00:37if he becomes president again.
