13:24This one.
13:34Is it 360?
13:41Excellent, guys. Another 360. How long?
14:03All right.

14:27All right.
14:29All right.
14:39It's really a perspective on man's relationship with the natural world.
14:44We don't inherit our resources from our ancestors. We borrow it from our children.
14:59This environment is uncontrollable. It's hostile.
15:02It doesn't care whether we're successful on our expedition, whether we climb it, whether we get our scientific data or not.
15:13The mountain is just going to move as it's going to move, and we have to be prepared to deal with that as best as possible.
15:37The mountain's like a mirror that holds you and your performance up to you.
15:42There are days where you feel like you're struggling to put one foot in front of the other.
15:48That's the same as it was back in the 1920s, same as it is today.
16:07We have a great team of Sherpa. We have a great team of scientists.
16:11But ultimately, we're pretty puny in the face of a mountain that doesn't always tolerate humanity so well.
16:18It's really quite a daunting task for our team, but we're up for it.
16:27With the winds in excess of 50 miles an hour, snow in your face all the time, trying to breathe thin air and do some complicated assembly,
16:35we have the team here to achieve and succeed in all those types of scientific objectives, but also to be able to tell the story.
16:58What's our 10-year plan? What's our 20-year plan? Where do we need to be to be protecting these places?
17:06The story that we can bring back will be incredibly compelling and show what an expedition in 2019 is all about.
17:29Thanks for watching, guys.
17:34By the way, this is my video. I just put that up there not too long ago.
17:38So these are the videos. Let me see if we get one more.
17:54All right, right here. Let's check this out.
18:04Probably two days out now from Everest base camp.
18:19Look at the views. Absolutely stunning.
18:23Just in front of you, there's lots of just around the corner is Everest.
18:29Can't see it at the moment, though.
18:33The views are absolutely stunning.
18:41No wonder you have trekkers that do this just for the views.
18:49So as much as I'm an anti-trekker, shall we say, but as much as I just want to get onto the mountain to base camp and start climbing, I do understand why the trekkers do this.
19:11This is a beautiful, beautiful morning. The snow falling last night.
19:18Just an amazing 360 view.
19:25Base camp is down there. All the orange and yellow and blue tents.
19:31That's it. It's 5,350 metres. So by the time we get there tomorrow, we'll be well a climb a slice.
19:41You've got the Khumbu Ice Falls there.
19:46Can't wait to get on that. That looks absolutely brutal.
19:50Look at the weather.
19:52Clearest day. I've got Mount Everest.
19:56Clearest day out there.
19:58Peak fully exposed.
20:00Almost saying, guys, you're welcome on this day, but let's hope you'll be welcome like that.
20:11On the day we want to summit.
20:27Base camp is basically a tented village.
20:30You know you're on the mountain because right in front of you, you've got Everest itself.
20:36There's approximately a thousand people in this village with probably about 250 to 300 climbers.
20:49The Sherpas for me are the sort of soul and spirit of the mountain.
20:54They live at altitude.
20:56And they start off as porters and they go up to kitchen staff.
20:59They join on to the back of a Sherpa team or fixing team and then they make their way to lead Sherpa.
21:13For me, when you're at base camp, the reality kicks in because you sleep in your tent.
21:18You know, you're cold. You're starting to feel a little bit of heat.
21:23You know, you're cold. You're starting to feel the altitude.
21:27And you can hear everything moving around you.
21:30When you sleep, you can hear the cracks in the ice, your tent slightly move.
21:34You can hear the avalanches happening outside.
21:37So it's a massive wake up call.
21:54This is one big glacier.
21:59One big icefall.
22:03If I was to stay here for a year, I'd end up that way.
22:09Quite a substantial amount.
22:14Our base camp is over there.
22:16It's quite big, but on the grand scheme of things, it's tiny.
22:22You've got the Khumbu Icefall up there to Camp 1.
22:27And then 2, 3, 4.
22:31And behind this mountain here is the summit of Mount Everest.
22:35We've absolutely steamed up here.
22:38It's hard work. The guys are carrying ladders, lots of equipment.
22:43I'm carrying nothing.
22:50But it's good. Nice and fast through the icefall.
22:54It's good. Nice and fast through the icefall.
22:57It's good. Nice and fast through the icefall.
23:00It's good. Nice and fast through the icefall.
23:03It's good. Nice and fast through the icefall.
23:06That's what we want to be.
23:24Look at that sunset.
23:27This is it.
23:29The summit rotation.
23:31Daunting just looking up there.
23:35All the way to Camp 3.
23:37Across.
23:39And then all the way up to the summit.
23:43I'm not going to lie.
23:47Pretty scared.
23:51But excited at the same time.
23:57Over to Camp 2.
24:02We're below that.
24:03Guys, I've got to stop moving.
24:05There's no way.
24:11Over to Camp 3.
24:13We're below that.
24:15Guys, I've got to stop moving.
24:16Like the video.
24:17Please put a like, comment, subscribe.
24:20Keep it between my kids and I won't do anything else.
24:24Thank you so much. God bless you.
24:26God keep you strong.
