Preparations at the Paralympic Village for the upcoming Paris Games are in full swing, as the village is set to open its doors for the arrival of participating athletes in late August.

Pictures of 'the Phryges', the mascot for the Paralympics which kick off on August 28, adorned the walls at the village in Saint-Denis, which will welcome more than 4,400 Paralympic athletes from 171 countries.

00:33in just two days' time, on August 21.
00:36This village, already in use during the Olympics, has been redesigned to accommodate all types
00:42of disabilities.
00:44The village is equipped with buggies to help the athletes get around, and also offers adapted
00:50flats with accessible beds and bathrooms.
00:54For the first time, the Prosthetics, Orthotics and Wheelchairs Repair Centre is located in
01:00the heart of the village.
01:02Two hundred repairs are expected to be carried out every day, during the Games.
01:07The Paralympic Games will last until September 8.
