00:00Adam and I were most excited about watching how he would.
00:04And the how has been absolutely outstanding.
00:08He went through the whole thing.
00:09He didn't miss a beat, hit the targets that we had put in front of him.
00:15We talked about the practices against the other teams, the game.
00:18So he's ready and he's earned the right to do that.
00:22He's really put in the work while being surrounded by some excellent teammates
00:26here, and in that case, I wanted to make sure I singled one of them out.
00:31In a perfect scenario, a young QB would have a leader to also learn from,
00:38but perfect rarely happens.
00:41But we do have that in Marcus Mariota.
00:44And him sharing nine years of gold with Jaden, I think,
00:48has been something that's really cool for us to see.
00:51Rookie QBs usually don't get that, and we do.
00:54And when QB rooms are special, that energy can be felt throughout an entire
00:59team, and we have that, so really cool to say.
01:02So apologies for having you come up with new storylines for today.
01:06But Jaden Daniels is our starting quarterback.
01:11Drop the mic, chick.
01:12I didn't see that coming.
01:14Yeah, of course you didn't, yeah.
01:16You're pressuring me so much over the last few weeks,
01:20I thought it was time to promptly tell you, I'd know, you'd know, he'd know.
01:25If we can go back to the kicking situation, no, I'm just kidding.
01:27What a buzzkill that John is, huh?
01:32With Jaden, you talk about the check marks along the way.
01:35What did you learn maybe even in the last week that just kind of said, okay,
01:38he's for sure ready, let's go?
01:41I think the practice before we left to go down to Miami was the best one
01:47I had seen from him on the Tuesday prior to us leaving that Wednesday.
01:52The command of it, the accuracy, the details of it,
01:56that was one of the best practices I'd seen him have,
02:00was the best practice I'd seen him have.
02:01And so I think that was more in line with who he is, what he does,
02:07the checks, the calls, the communication, the delivery of the ball.
02:11He was just really on point, so it was just cool to see all of that come to life.
02:16Has anything about this surprised you about where he's at in the development?
02:19It didn't surprise me.
02:21We knew we would get here, but we were just excited to see how we would.
02:26And so seeing him hit all the spots, this is a rare competitor.
02:30And those are the things that I knew about him, but
02:33seeing it in your own building, on your own team, around new teammates,
02:39that was cool to see.
02:40And so he's just had a remarkable start to things here.
02:44He's earned the respect of teammates and coaches and people inside of the building.
02:49And he's very thankful to be part of a group with the quarterback and
02:55the coaches and helping him get ready, that's a big deal too.
