Savi (2024)

  • last month
Savi is a 2024 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film[1] directed by Abhinay Deo and produced by Mukesh Bhatt, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the banner of Vishesh Films and T-Series Films. The film stars Anil Kapoor, Divya Khossla and Harshvardhan Rane. it is a remake of 2008 French film Anything for Her,[4] whose 2010 Hollywood remake The Next Three Days with Russel Crowe shares the same story. Inspired by the tale of Savitri and Satyavan, Savi tells the story of a simple housewife who attempts to jailbreak her husband from a high-security prison in England.[5][6] Unlike the French original and its American remake, the Bollywood film has a female protagonist.

00:20:30We know who Nakul's attackers are.
00:20:32They run a drug ring in the prison.
00:20:35And Nakul refused to park their drugs, so...
00:20:38Anyway, based on his complaint,
00:20:39they will be kept in solitary confinement for a month.
00:20:43But after a month, they will be back.
00:20:46Nakul is under threat, Savi.
00:20:49I know all of this is hard for you.

00:22:06Nakul.
00:22:09Oh.
00:22:39Ever since I was a kid,
00:22:41I've seen the flags of the UK and Canada on the rooftops.
00:22:46Water tanks in the shape of planes.
00:22:51I had an average thought.
00:22:53I'd go abroad.
00:22:54Life's set.
00:22:56I'd get married.
00:22:58And I came to Liverpool.
00:23:03I got my reality check the next day.
00:23:06I found out my husband was already married.
00:23:10He had kids, too.
00:23:14It was a foreign country.
00:23:18I was alone.
00:23:20I was quiet.
00:23:24In the beginning,
00:23:26I used to make a living
00:23:28by making a living.
00:23:34Then when I started asking questions,
00:23:36he started beating me.
00:23:42He'd sit in a corner
00:23:44and drink a peg.
00:23:46And I used to count
00:23:49whether he'd beat me after the fifth peg
00:23:53or the sixth.
00:23:56I lived in that fear every day.
00:24:02But Savi,
00:24:04he had a limit, too.
00:24:07I said, that's enough.
00:24:10I cried a lot.
00:24:13And then...
00:24:16Then...
00:24:19The next day, when he beat me,
00:24:22I took out the biggest knife in the kitchen
00:24:25and finished.
00:24:29The torture was over.
00:24:31But that day, I realized
00:24:34that I was a prisoner,
00:24:36but not less than a prisoner.
00:24:41I spent ten years in jail.
00:24:44I came out, changed my surname,
00:24:47got a job, made money,
00:24:49bought a house.
00:24:51I called my mother here, too.

00:30:40It's a story of freedom, my freedom.
00:30:51February 1999, I got arrested for the first time.
00:30:55I used to sell fake paintings and antiques in London.
00:30:58I was sentenced to three years and I was sent to the Moonland Prison.
00:31:02At first, I thought this was my life.
00:31:05But the hidden mind inside me used to tell me to get up, think, open my eyes.
00:31:10You are not meant to be imprisoned.
00:31:13That same anguish took my evil mind to a place where no one dared to go.
00:31:22I don't know if I was worthy of punishment.
00:31:25But I wasn't sure I was worthy of a boring routine.
00:31:34That's why slowly, like an artist paints his thoughts,
00:31:39I prepared my first plan.
00:31:44Take it away.
00:31:53A lock is necessary for those who are imprisoned.
00:31:56And a key is necessary for the release of the prisoner.
00:32:10It is impossible to keep the one who is free from the heart in a cage.
00:32:18A lion always finds its way.
00:32:22A lion always finds its way.
00:32:42Good morning.
00:32:43Good morning.
00:32:46Is this for Papa?
00:32:48Yes.
00:32:49But how will Papa see it?
00:32:51The prison lady won't allow it, right?
00:32:54Why in the prison?
00:32:56He will show it at home.
00:32:57Meaning?
00:32:59Meaning Papa is coming home.
00:33:01What?
00:33:02When?
00:33:07Very soon.
00:33:12Hello, office on call. How may I help you?
00:33:14Hello. Yeah, hi. This is Tina Sharma.
00:33:17I'm actually calling from the Guardian newspaper.
00:33:20I wanted the details of Mr. J. Paul, please.
00:33:22That's regarding what?
00:33:23I wanted to talk to him regarding an article I'm doing.
00:33:26Okay. You can take it down then.
00:33:28Thank you so much.
00:33:40Hello?
00:33:41Anyone there?
00:33:48Hello?
00:33:51Hello?
00:33:53Mr. Paul?
00:33:55This is Tina Sharma from the Guardian.
00:33:57I wanted to...
00:34:00Hello? Mr. Paul?
00:34:03Mr. Paul?
00:34:17Hello?
00:34:47Hello?
00:35:07Mr. Paul?
00:35:10Mr. Paul?
00:35:11Mr. Paul?
00:35:18Mr. Paul?
00:35:36I know you're inside.
00:35:38And such a fascinating journey...
00:35:47I just need five minutes, Mr. Paul.
00:36:08DOG BARKING
00:36:38BREATHING HEAVILY
00:36:43Hello, Simrit?
00:36:45I'll be a little late.
00:36:47Can you stay the night with Adi, please?
00:36:51Thank you.
00:37:08BREATHING HEAVILY
00:37:34Hello?
00:37:36Hello?
00:37:38Mr. Paul?
00:37:58Follow me.
00:38:09Writer's block?
00:38:11Something like that.
00:38:12Sit.
00:38:18I just need five minutes.
00:38:20Okay.
00:38:23I was arrested for the first time in 1999.
00:38:26I used to sell fake art and antiques.
00:38:28Three years in prison.
00:38:30I ran away from there for six months.
00:38:32On 27th November, 2002...
00:38:33I've read all this.
00:38:35It's in your book.
00:38:37I'm here to find out what's not in your book, Mr. Joydeep.
00:38:46Um...
00:38:48Are you okay, Mr. Paul?
00:38:54It's fine.
00:38:55It's okay, no problem.
00:38:56If you don't want to tell me, it's okay.
00:38:59I just wasted your time for no reason.
00:39:02There's no prison in the world that you can't get out of.
00:39:08Every lock has a key.
00:39:10You just need someone to make it.
00:39:12You mean, every time you open the lock...
00:39:16Sit, Farta.
00:39:18You're a writer, right?
00:39:20Yes.
00:39:21You have to pay attention.
00:39:22Every minor movement, every minute detail...
00:39:25Every minor movement, every minute detail...
00:39:28The routine, the clothes...
00:39:30The change of seasons...
00:39:32These are the gaps that hide the way to escape.
00:39:36And any basic requirements?
00:39:40Balls.
00:39:41And a little luck.
00:39:44Wait for again.
00:39:50What's the biggest problem?
00:39:52Being free.
00:39:53It's easy to escape.
00:39:54But it's hard to keep running.
00:39:57That's why people get caught in three days.
00:39:59Why?
00:40:00Emotions.
00:40:01They run away from jail and go to their family, friends, wife, girlfriend.
00:40:05Or they contact them.
00:40:06And game up.
00:40:08They get out of jail with their own plans.
00:40:10And as soon as they get out of jail, they start working according to the police plan.
00:40:14If you want to be free, you have to think beyond the police.
00:40:18What they're expecting...
00:40:21Don't do that.
00:40:22Like a chess player...
00:40:23From the first move to the last move...
00:40:25The game should be ready in the mind.
00:40:27Your own move...
00:40:28And the opponent's move too.
00:40:32As soon as you get out of jail...
00:40:33Leave the country.
00:40:34Technology runs at sonic speed.
00:40:36The police can seal the whole country in an hour.
00:40:38Photos are flashed at every station, every airport.
00:40:41The passport gets a red-corner notice.
00:40:43That's why you don't go to the bus or train station.
00:40:45If you want to take a flight, don't think of the police from any airport.
00:40:49Fake documents are also necessary to catch a flight.
00:40:51Fake...
00:40:52But original.
00:40:53Driver's license, passport, national insurance number.
00:40:57Stand straight, kids.
00:40:58Most important...
00:41:01Destination.
00:41:02A place where there is no extradition treaty with Britain.
00:41:06A place where British tourists don't want to go.
00:41:09And the most important thing is money.
00:41:12A fool can never bargain.
00:41:14Hotel, travel, phone...
00:41:16Whatever you get, you have to buy it.
00:41:18And hard cash only.
00:41:19How much money?
00:41:20At least not more than five or six years.
00:41:22Money over, good luck over.
00:41:26How did you get caught last time?
00:41:28I mean, you know so much.
00:41:30Who said I got caught?
00:41:32I surrendered.
00:41:35And that brings me to the most important point.
00:41:37Reason.
00:41:39There should be a big reason to get out of jail and keep running.
00:41:46But maybe I didn't have it.
00:41:50Lock the gate on your way out.
00:41:59Thank you, sir.
00:42:03One last hypothetical question.
00:42:06If someone wants to get out of jail,
00:42:08how and where can they get fake documents made?
00:42:12Hope.
00:42:13Hope?
00:42:14Hope Street.
00:42:21Me and my buddy Cynthia, we just rockin' all night.
00:42:26I got money, I got money, I got all the things you need.
00:42:29You've been running, I've been hiding from all the things you need.
00:42:35I got money, I got money, I got all the things you need.
00:42:38You've been running, I've been hiding from all the things you need.
00:42:41You've been running, I've been hiding from all the things you need.
00:42:47I've been dealing with my bills.
00:42:48I've been dealing with the company bills.
00:42:50Running to the mills.
00:42:51Holding all the locks.
00:42:52Feeling like we're off till I hear the knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock.
00:42:58What do you need?
00:42:59Oxy, molly, I got coke?
00:43:02What the fuck?
00:43:04Excuse me?
00:43:08Yes.
00:43:09What do you want?
00:43:12I actually wanted some papers.
00:43:14What?
00:43:15Passports, a driving license.
00:43:17You mean fakes?
00:43:19Who do you think I am?
00:43:20Just get the hell out of here.
00:43:31Hey.
00:43:32Okay, so maybe I can help you.
00:43:34I know a guy, but you have to pay up front.
00:43:36You got some money here?
00:43:37Yes.
00:43:38One second.
00:43:39It's okay, it's okay.
00:43:40You go to Punch Charmy's bar on Duncan Street, alright?
00:43:42And you go to the bartender and ask for Slim Jim.
00:43:45And you tell him that Rock sent you.
00:43:47Rock sent me?
00:43:48Yes, that's right.
00:43:49Thank you.
00:43:52Slim Jim.
00:44:04Sorry.
00:44:05Excuse me?
00:44:07I was looking for Slim Jim.
00:44:08What?
00:44:09Slim Jim.
00:44:11It's over there.
00:44:14Thank you.
00:44:16Hey, there's this lady.
00:44:17Is there?
00:44:18Whoa, whoa, whoa.
00:44:19Where do you think you're going?
00:44:21Okay, I'll check.
00:44:23Hi.
00:44:24Rocks told me to come and see you.
00:44:26Rocks.
00:44:29Thanks.
00:44:32What do you want?
00:44:33Three passports, a driving license and a national insurance number.
00:44:39Is that so?
00:44:40I have the money.
00:44:41No, no, no.
00:44:42Not here.
00:44:43Follow me.
00:44:44Okay.
00:44:55What place is this?
00:45:00Where are you taking me?
00:45:02Where are you taking me?
00:45:06Give me the money.
00:45:08But passport...
00:45:09Give me the money.
00:45:13I said give me the money!
00:45:21Hand over!
00:45:25Hand over!
00:45:27Hand over!
00:45:28Give me my money!
00:45:29Give me!
00:45:32Hands where I can see them!
00:45:38Who are you?
00:45:48Detective Paul, Liverpool Police.
00:45:53You're not a freaking cop.
00:45:57What cop dresses up like a deranged old man?
00:46:00Are you saying I did not receive world-class training both classroom-based and on the job?
00:46:05Are you saying I don't have the skills and knowledge to solve crimes?
00:46:09Deal with safety within the community and ensure public order?
00:46:15Are you claiming that I did not attend 822 weeks of classroom-based training?
00:46:19What the heck?
00:46:20To ensure that I learn various aspects of policing?
00:46:26Is he talking to me?
00:46:27And are you saying I have not received first aid and personal safety training?
00:46:31And undertook driving...
00:46:41What are you doing here?
00:46:42Let me rephrase that for you.
00:46:45Thank you, Mr. Paul.
00:46:46If it weren't for you, I would have lost my mind.
00:46:50For the first time in 40 years, someone called me Jyotip.
00:46:56Someone who can carry pitbulls in his arms and fight such people.
00:47:01He's not a reporter. He's not here for an article.
00:47:05It has to be something personal.
00:47:09So, I have a technical question.
00:47:15Father?
00:47:17Brother?
00:47:19Or husband?
00:47:21The lawyer says there is no scope in this case.
00:47:25On top of that, Nakul's life is already in danger in jail.
00:47:29I have no other option.
00:47:32Of course you have.
00:47:34The first option is to go back to India.
00:47:36He will finish the sentence and come back.
00:47:38The second option is a second marriage.
00:47:40The third option is suicide.
00:47:42Confusion and depression are over, but a poor choice to make.
00:47:44If I were you, I would definitely take the second option.
00:47:47Maybe you've never loved in your life.
00:47:51There should be a very strong reason to run away from jail all your life.
00:47:56Which you didn't have.
00:47:58I have it.
00:48:01Can you get me a passport?
00:48:03Go home.
00:48:05I won't come to save you again and again.
00:48:07But you've run away from jail seven times.
00:48:10At least once, I tried...
00:48:12I ran out of jail.
00:48:13You have to go in first.
00:48:15Then you have to come out.
00:48:17With baggage.
00:48:19Emotional baggage.
00:48:21Nakul.
00:48:23Listen.
00:48:25You have to become a criminal for what you want to do.
00:48:30You have to kill the guards.
00:48:32Can you do it?
00:48:34Can you drive a car on the barricades?
00:48:37Can you push a woman and a child in front of you?
00:48:40Can you turn them into human shields?
00:48:43No, right?
00:48:45Then go home.
00:48:47Did you hear me?
00:48:49Go home.
00:48:51Passport.
00:48:53Please.
00:48:56What a woman.
00:48:59Two by two inches.
00:49:01White background.
00:49:03Three pictures each.
00:49:05Two thousand pounds, fifty percent advance.
00:49:11Is it too much?
00:49:13Yes. I also need a gun.
00:49:16Gun?
00:49:18Yes. Next time you won't come to save me.
00:49:21I have to do what I have to do.
00:49:23You're right.
00:49:253 PM, Howard Street, dump yard.
00:49:34Mom.
00:49:40Mom.
00:50:10Mom.
00:50:12Mom.
00:50:14Mom.
00:50:16Mom.
00:50:18Mom.
00:50:20Mom.
00:50:22Mom.
00:50:24Mom.
00:50:26Mom.
00:50:28Mom.
00:50:30Mom.
00:50:32Mom.
00:50:34Mom.
00:50:36Mom.
00:50:38Mom.
00:50:40Mom.
00:50:42Mom.
00:50:44Mom.
00:50:46Mom.
00:50:48Mom.
00:50:50Mom.
00:50:52Mom.
00:50:54Mom.
00:50:56Mom.
00:50:58Mom.
00:51:00Mom.
00:51:02Mom.
00:51:04Mom.
00:51:06Mom.
00:51:08Mom.
00:51:10Mom.
00:51:14She's selling the house.
00:51:17Why?
00:51:19Exactly.
00:51:21Why?
00:51:40Why?
00:52:11Mr. Paul.
00:52:23Thank you so much.
00:52:30Where are the bullets?
00:52:36Give it to me.
00:52:41It's loaded.
00:52:46Now shoot my dog.
00:52:48Huh?
00:52:49What?
00:52:50I said shoot my dog.
00:52:53But why?
00:52:54Why did he die?
00:52:55I want to react with pain.
00:52:57Shoot my dog.
00:52:59I can't do it.
00:53:00I can't do it, Mr. Paul.
00:53:02You can't kill an animal.
00:53:04You want to kill a human?
00:53:06Go on.
00:53:07Shoot him.
00:53:11Shoot him.
00:53:14Shoot him.
00:53:25I can't do it, Mr. Paul.
00:53:28I knew it.
00:53:30He doesn't have a choice.
00:53:32I just wanted to make you realize
00:53:33that what you're planning
00:53:35is beyond your control.
00:53:37It's just out of your league.
00:53:38Come on, darling.
00:54:01Huh?
00:54:02Sorry, baby.
00:54:04Correct.
00:54:06Hello, Mel.
00:54:07Any luck with the house?
00:54:08No, Savi.
00:54:09You know how the market is.
00:54:10Yeah, so will it help
00:54:11if I bring the price down
00:54:12by, say, 10%?
00:54:13Yeah, that might help.
00:54:35I'll be back.
00:54:49Hi!
00:54:54What's the plan?
00:54:56Mr. Paul?
00:54:58Oh, my God.
00:54:59I can't believe it.
00:55:00You're always changing your face.
00:55:03Why?
00:55:06The whole of England is under surveillance.
00:55:08And I'm an ex-convict.
00:55:10I don't want the police
00:55:12to question me in any case.
00:55:14But I'm in doubt.
00:55:17Can we talk business?
00:55:19Yeah, sure.
00:55:21I've done some research, Mr. Paul.
00:55:23There are four kilometers of secret tunnels
00:55:25and chambers under Liverpool City.
00:55:28One of these tunnels
00:55:29goes straight under Shrewsbury Prison.
00:55:32Yeah, I know.
00:55:34This tunnel was built in 1930.
00:55:36Yes.
00:55:37And one of these
00:55:38has already been attempted.
00:55:41It's completely sealed.
00:55:42Yeah, but there must be a way.
00:55:44What if we blow up the sealed area
00:55:46with a dynamite blast?
00:55:48Wow!
00:55:50Hum!
00:55:53There's no hum here, darling.
00:55:55Consider me your football coach.
00:55:57I'll guide you from the sidelines
00:55:58or sometimes clap for you.
00:56:00But I will not play the game with you.
00:56:02You have to do what you have to do.
00:56:05If I have to do everything,
00:56:07why have you been helping me for free?
00:56:12There's nothing free in life.
00:56:14You'll find out when the time comes.
00:56:16And your dynamite idea
00:56:19is very, very filmy.
00:56:20Think about it.
00:56:22I've given you options.
00:56:32I've given you options.
00:57:02Wow!
00:57:03Hey, hey, hey!
00:57:06Hey, Joydeep!
00:57:07Joydeepji?
00:57:09What are we doing here at 2 a.m.?
00:57:11Uh, well...
00:57:13Pizza.
00:57:14We've already eaten.
00:57:16Uh...
00:57:18Is Maggie sick?
00:57:19Diabetes.
00:57:20Why?
00:57:24In diabetes,
00:57:26if you eat a lot of cereal,
00:57:28you get diabetes.
00:57:30If...
00:57:32you have severe hyperkalemia,
00:57:34the patient goes to the hospital.
00:57:36Thank God Nakul doesn't have severe hyperkalemia.
00:57:41I wish I did.
00:57:44Good night.
00:57:49I wish I did, ma'am.
00:57:51Bye-bye.
00:57:52Bye-bye.
00:57:59The medical team is tapping your blood sugar.
00:58:01Yeah, they come every day.
