00:00There is no need for new guidelines against MPOCs or Monkey POCs because the Department of Health has enough existing guidelines.

00:12According to the DOH, the next time the World Health Organization declares a public health emergency of international concern of MPOCs is due to the latest outbreak in Africa.

00:23MPOCs are infected by direct skin-to-skin contact or by bodily fluids.

00:30According to the DOH, it is still recommended to be clean, wash your hands and avoid contact with other people.

00:37In 2022, the DOH will issue a memorandum on the management of MPOCs, including how to screen and isolate them.

00:45The coordination of the Bureau of Quarantine is also ongoing.

00:48There are no new cases of MPOCs in the country since December 2023, according to the DOH.

00:54The suspected cases in 2022 have recovered.

00:57There are two vaccines against MPOCs recommended by the WHO, but the supply is limited.
