A racecourse in Auburn, Washington swapped horses for dinosaurs as contestants clad in Tyrannosaurus rex costumes competed for the title of fastest prehistoric runner.
Runners of all ages took part in the annual "T-Rex World Championship Races" at the Emerald Downs track.
The event, which began in 2017, featured several heats with contestants required to wear inflatable, wobbly-headed T-rex costumes.
