Fantasy Football Tips: Drafting Rico Dowdle as a Sleeper

00:07face with. These are the guys that you should be stuffing your rosters with. The first one
00:11is reaching. Hey, look, I'm trying to get out of a nose dive.

00:16Rico Dowdle. This is the first one here. Ezekiel Elliott, an older running back, a guy who's
00:21already been jettisoned once by this team and now brought back. There's a really good
00:25chance the first week, maybe six weeks of the season, Zeke still falls to the end zone
00:30as kind of that guy. But at some point, the younger running back, I think, is going to
00:34win out here. And so far, the early buzz, if you listen to all the beat reporters, is
00:37Rico Dowdle looks good. Rico Dowdle looks ready.
00:39And there were moments last year where I remember having conversations with my team at Fantasy
00:44Pros watching the Cowboys game saying, I think Rico Dowdle is ready to kind of take this
00:48job over next year, wherever Tony Pollard ends up, if he doesn't come back here. And
00:52he didn't. And I think the Cowboys kind of saw things the same way. It's a good offense.
00:57It's going to score a lot of points. Rico Dowdle is a very cheap running back. And I
01:01think that is the whole point. We're talking about guys that don't cost you much in ADP
01:05to be wrong about. If you're wrong about Rico Dowdle, it's not going to hurt your fantasy
01:09league. He is being drafted right now behind Ezekiel Elliott. He's the 40th guy off the
01:14board. Rico's the 43rd. So if you want to really be a jerk like me, you sit in your
01:20drafts and you wait for somebody to take Ezekiel Elliott. And then the next round,
01:23you take Rico Dowdle and you probably got the better value. That's my guess. Now,
01:27unfortunately I can't do that because in the leagues I play in are mostly made up of people
01:31like me. So sometimes that ADP is a little inverted, but in your casual leagues, I guarantee
01:37you. Yeah. I guarantee you in your casual leagues, you're going to have a situation
01:41where people see Ezekiel Elliott. They see him on the Cowboys. It's just an easy click
01:46to draft and Rico Dowdle will be that other guy.
