00:00Right on to the next weapon you've all been instructed at all times, when your tines are right, your ball break clean, defend yourselves at all times and the best of luck to you all. Touch gloves.
00:30Osaze scarcely tested at this kind of level before tonight. Bentley has tripped up at this kind of level twice. That's twice too often. If it happens again tonight for Denzel Bentley, it could be the beginning of the slide out of the upper reaches, even in British terms, in this now ultra-competitive British middleweight division.
00:51So there is a great deal at stake for Denzel Bentley, Richie. I know he knows all that, but only the best version from here on in is going to work for Denzel Bentley, surely.
01:00Yes, absolutely. I mean, you've got to remember he's ranked number two in the WBO and there will be another world title shot for him at some stage, but it's all about concentrating on what's happening now and not looking too far ahead. He's probably done that in the past, so he's experienced in these situations. He's got to get the job done here tonight against an opponent who fancies his chances here. They know each other, they've sparred each other in the past.
01:26So what Denzel Bentley has got to do here tonight, he's got to be very professional indeed and just concentrate on what's in front of him.
01:56This is the chance that Derek Orsaze maybe thought was never going to happen. He's actually 30 already and the British rankings by Boxrec have him way, way out of the running. Starting tonight at number 28, of course, that changes dramatically if he were to upset Bentley.
02:18Many feel Rich that he's been overlooked and not given the opportunities, but since his breakthrough in the ultimate boxer format, he's just not been active enough, has he?
02:30No, he hasn't and it's a massive opportunity for him and you'll know that. That's why Bentley has got to box very professional here tonight and get the job done. But for Orsaze, yes, this is huge, biggest night of his career to be quite honest.
02:45He's not that really big a middleweight. I think he weighed in Leatherstone 4 for this, so he probably couldn't make light middles, but nevertheless, he started fairly brightly here, Orsaze, and it's a big opportunity for him.
03:15Orsaze to this big night the way they did Esserman to that great victory.
03:20Hoping to make it a double here tonight. He's looked quite polished in the early stages. Denzel Bentley's landed a few big shots and he's worn them well.
03:45He's back at McDonald's. Choose any three for just three pounds. Only until the 27th of August. Go on, get mixing.
04:16Quite early for a deep and meaningful conversation, but they are in locked eyes mode in that corner. Denzel Bentley and Martin Bowers from the Peacock camp. A few problems to solve, perhaps, potentially here.
04:32I think so, Paul. I think Orsaze finished the round fairly strong in the last minute and a half or so. Probably did enough just to nick the round.
04:41So yes, you could tell from Martin Bowers' talk in there with Denzel Bentley, he wasn't really happy with that performance in that first round and certainly wants him to work a little bit harder.
04:54And that's what he's got to do here because Orsaze on that front foot, I think he had a decent first round result. He just outworked Bentley a little bit and again he started this one fairly positively as well.
05:05It's not a British type of fight. Let's just remind everybody that the queue just got even longer after that classic between Brad Pauls and Nathan Heaney. Heaney beaten. Heaney, the man who outsought Denzel Bentley.
05:22You can see how these plot lines are quite complex. There's a lot of contending fighters of roughly similar levels of ability in Britain at the moment. And one or two real class operators at the top.
05:35Chris Eubank Jr., Hamza Shiraz, Liam Smith just behind that top group. The likes of Josh Kelly, Kieran Conway, Liam Williams still going, Jimmy Kelly, Tyler Denny shouldn't be overlooked.
05:51And in those box rankings I mentioned, even Denzel Bentley only just scrapes into the top 10 just at the moment.
06:00Really positive boxing here from Orsaze again. And a competitive yet middleweight division for most certainly. But Orsaze, well out there in 28th isn't he?
06:14As you said before, he just hasn't been boxing enough. He's only had three fights in three years, so he's certainly got to get a move on in terms of boxing on a regular basis.
06:27But he started this contest pretty well on that front foot. He's just out working Bentley. He's starting to respond now. But I like the approach from Orsaze. He's been very positive indeed coming forward.
06:40Sweet. And in his rhythm early on, Orsaze.
06:46Oh, what a shot. Oh, Denzel Bentley has the equaliser. That's finished the job already. Just like against Danny Degnan out of nowhere.
06:56Denzel Bentley detonates the dynamite and stays firmly on course for a return to world level.
07:07Might have been out of box for a moment or two, but there's just no arguing about a stoppage like that.
07:13No, it was an incredible shot. It was a right uppercut, Paul, that caught Orsaze as he was coming forward and he didn't expect it at all.
07:20And we haven't seen that shot from Bentley in this contest up to now and he just brought it from nowhere.
07:27It's a right uppercut, cracking punch, bang on the chin of his opponent who fell forward afterwards and the referee obviously just waves it off.
07:36But what a touch of class that was from him because up to then, you've got to say, he was being outworked by Orsaze.
07:44He was gaining more confidence coming forward and he was outworking Bentley. Then he just walks on to one and what a bit of class and quality that was.
07:52But the power and the technique in that shot, we'll be watching it again, obviously.
07:57But what a punch. Let's have a look at it here as he's coming forward.
08:00There it is there. What a belting punch that is. That's probably the best right uppercut he's thrown in his whole career.
08:07What, he looks, he looks through the middle and bang on the button and he just stops Orsaze in his tracks, falls forward.
08:16Referee counts him out and he's gone. He's out of it.
08:20And that was a peach of a punch and like I said, probably the best right uppercut he's thrown.
08:29The immediate concern was not for Denzel Bentley but for Derek Orsaze.
08:35Orsaze's on his feet in the middle of the ring. Bentley can take his bow.
08:43Yes, he's up on his feet and he's okay, the lad, and that's the main thing.
08:48He just went over to the corner of his opponent and now obviously Denzel Bentley just shaking a few hands outside the ring but fair play to Orsaze.
08:56He started pretty well. He was a confident start from him. He was trying to outwork Denzel Bentley.
09:02He was probably growing in confidence doing that but he just walked on to an absolute belter there. What a shot that was.
09:13So that makes it 13 wins inside three rounds. That is impressive, Richie, isn't it?
09:20Yes, it is. Very explosive early on, isn't it? He just found there was no indication that it was coming, Paul.
09:27That's the most impressive part about it for me. What a cracking shot that was. No indication at all.
09:36Derek Orsaze smiles. No shame in going out like that. Went out on his shield. Here's Devzani.
09:44Ladies and gentlemen, at the time of 2 minutes 27 seconds in the second round, your referee John Latham calls a halt to this contest.
09:56Therefore, your winner by TKO and still WBO International Medal of Champion, Denzel Dushan Bentley.
10:26The middleweight title.
