00:00Welcome to Tell Us Your English.
00:02We go live to Venezuela, where the population continues to mobilize in defense of the electoral
00:08victory of President Nicolás Maduro and in rejection of the fascism of the ultra-right.
00:15The rally travels through several avenues of the city of Caracas and is supposed to
00:20reach the Miraflores Palace that is the seat of the national government, the destination
00:26of more than 10,000 motorcycles that accompany the march in defense of peace and the electoral
00:31results of July 28th.
00:34Simultaneously, citizens throughout the national territory take to the streets to show the
00:39truth of the working Venezuela that defends its sovereignty.
00:43And to have more information on the matter, we are joined by TELUSUR correspondent Gladys
00:49Quezada, who is on site at this moment.
00:51Hello Gladys, tell us, what is the climate on the streets and the latest over there?
00:57Yes, thanks for the time and the contact here from the South and TELUSUR English and for
01:06all of our audience.
01:07Yes, we are currently in the departure point of this march, this large march in defense
01:14of the peace here in Venezuela and also specifically here in Canteve, in the Libertador Avenue,
01:21one of the points of concentration ahead of this march that must end in the Miraflores
01:26Palace, the seat of the government.
01:28And as we were saying, this is a popular concentration.
01:31This is a gathering that includes youngsters, the elderly, the students, the women organizations,
01:37and also other popular sectors here in Caracas and in over 100 cities of all the country.
01:46And in this moment, this is one of the many marches in defense of the peace.
01:51We know this is one of the premises of the Bolivarian Revolution and also of the government
01:57of President Nicolás Maduro Moros and is the peace as one of the many bases, the pillars
02:03of the revolution and the pillars of the policy in the country.
02:06As we have been noticing, people is coming with banners, chanting slogans, and also with
02:12pictures of Rafael Chávez Frías and pictures of Nicolás Maduro Moros as they were using
02:20them and doing during the presidential campaign time ahead of the July 28 presidential elections.
02:27Precisely, this is one of the largest marches in defense of the results of the July 28 presidential
02:33polls.
02:34And as we have been saying, this were contested by terrorist factions and terrorist organizations
02:40here in Venezuela that tried to make outbreaks of terrorist actions and violence against
02:45popular institutions.
02:46We were saying this because Chavismo has not stopped doing its work and the Bolivarian
02:53Revolution is just ongoing with their work recovering and taking back the spaces that
02:59were attacked and the institutions that were attacked and tried to loot in during the riots,
03:05the violent riots of July 29th and 30th.
03:09As we know, there are recoveries in healthcare centers and schools, universities, and other
03:16institutions and premises that were tried to be burned down, that were tried to be destroyed.
03:24As we know also, this is a march that is in defense of the peace because some intel from
03:31government that were announced by the first vice president of the United Socialist Party
03:36of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello Rondon, there are information about violent plots and schemes
03:43from the far-right organizations, the radical groups of the right, the extreme right, that
03:49are trying to also do violent actions in this march.
03:55And today they were calling for march of their bases.
03:59So Chavismo is in the streets in defense of their revolution and in defense of their conquest
04:05and also about the goals of the revolution, which is to give popular power, popular will
04:12for everyone.
04:13And I'm mentioning that and purpose of that, we know that next August 25th, there will
04:19be another popular consultation for the communes, which means that the people can choose which
04:25projects they intend to finance and what projects they want to move on with.
04:31So if they want the revolution to survive and to persist, they have to do this.
04:37They have to take the popular power in their hands and what, which is the best way to do
04:42it, doing marches, rallies, and showing the world that aside from the narratives, aside
04:48from what people are saying and the media is saying outside of Venezuela, there is peace
04:53in Venezuela, there is peace all over the country.
04:55So this is the information so far.
04:57This is information we have.
04:59And we will be back to you in other broadcasts and missions.
05:02Thank you, Gladys.
