00:00No safety. No duty.
00:07We are here to serve.
00:09Want to suffer.
00:15Anybody who is having love for any human being cannot accept this.
00:20My humble request to call on everybody's feet.
00:23You people also should give a letter.
00:26Go and stand in front of the PM's office.
00:29A letter or a mail to just conduct value education classes at least in future.
00:35So that our future generation will become better human beings.
00:39Thank you so much.
00:41Today whatever we are trying to do,
00:57the justice will be served only when the culprits are like you know hanged or they should be punished.
01:03And secondly as we told in the rally, we need the Centre Protection Act
01:07and healthcare workers' safety is very important.
01:11And to quote Ma'am and Water, HOD sir told,
01:14the girls should defend less and attack more.
01:17Then only we can create the fear and we can be safe.
01:20Save the saviours.
01:35It's very pathetic, mournful and tearful.
01:38I am a teacher by profession and this is my 30th year.
01:43This shows that there is lack of safety for girls,
01:50especially women all over the country actually.
01:55But when concerned to this incident,
01:57I know as a teacher how very difficult it is to get through and become a doctor.
02:02I have undergone the students' pain.
02:05The way they study, they get into the need.
02:08So much of struggle they get into this profession.
02:11It's not like other profession to become a doctor.
02:13It's not very easy.
02:14So after all struggles, with the dream of becoming a doctor,
02:20when a child faces this kind of incident and pain,
02:26I don't know where we are going and travelling.
02:29And moreover, the government hospitals I have visited,
02:33they should improve in so many things,
02:36especially to give separate rooms.
02:39As every office has, sorry to tell, there are AZ,
02:46and people sit in the AZ rooms and when they work,
02:50doctors who just come into this profession,
02:54thinking as a social service,
02:56I think they should also have the comfort.
02:59They should have the comfort, most comfort among all professions.
03:04And sleeping, whether it is a hall or a study room,
03:09they should provide separate study room.
03:11And they should have a separate room,
03:13like sharing two people or four people.
03:16And the chair they sit, and the cleanliness,
03:20food especially, I have also seen the food.
03:22Everything should be the best for a doctor.
03:26Because they are the people who save our lives.
03:29I think this is a little bit lacking in government hospitals.
03:33Government should look into this and do the best for the future doctors.
03:39And also bring in rules as a teacher, I will tell you.
03:43Value education and ban the Google unhealthy videos,
03:49so that the younger generation will not have the opportunity to see that.
03:53And the world and India will become a better future.
03:57Schools also should take up value education as an important subject.
04:01And it should be conducted daily,
04:03rather than giving extra curricular and special class training.
04:07So once again, I request the state governments and the central governments
04:11to give the most comfort things for the future doctors.
04:16And to avoid such incidents.
04:19If only the doctor had a separate room,
04:22I think she should have stayed alone, studied,
04:25and she should have been alive.
04:27And kindly, we should avoid this.
04:29And the government again, I request to do the best for the doctors.
04:48We couldn't sleep that night.
04:50And practically we have lost sleep for the last one week.
04:54Thinking of our family members, our friends, our juniors whom we work with.
04:59Last five years I am in Tamil Nadu,
05:01but I have a lot of friends and juniors who are still there,
05:04who are in various capacities.
05:06And what has happened is beyond description,
05:09what has happened is beyond mercy, beyond justice, everything.
05:14So we demand justice for the medical community,
05:18for doctors, nurses, everyone.
05:22Even our people who help us in the ward, the ward boys.
05:27Because we are gradually, increasingly facing
05:31social, antagonistic attitude towards our profession.
05:37Which should not be.
05:39Which is being fostered by various people with vested interests.
05:45But we have to stand united.
05:47We have to protest against this injustice to our profession,
05:53our community and to humanity.
05:56When we come to each and every patient,
06:00we just ask for the patient's complaints, we see the patients.
06:03We ask the patient's name for identification.
06:07But it is the same injections we give to whatever,
06:11be the patient's caste, religion, social background or anything.
06:15So there is, for us being so professional,
06:19we cannot accept whatever is happening to us.
06:23Especially thinking of the protection of ladies.
06:27We men should be aware of the protection of,
06:31like we are careful of the protection of our mothers, our sisters.
06:36Similarly for our lady colleagues.
06:39We should be the one who should come in the front.
06:42We should be the one who should take up the onus.
06:49The ladies are at par with us.
06:53The ladies are our responsibility.
06:56The ladies are independent.
06:59But we should be ashamed also that some miscreants are doing like this.
07:04And naturally the onus should be on men more.
07:08We should train our children from the very childhood.
07:13The values, the moral values.
07:16We give a lot of values to our girl child.
07:19We should give equally, more importantly, values to the male child.
07:24So that he grows up to be a responsible, brave citizen.
07:29This cruel act won't end until the world understands
07:48that the one who is emotionally strong is the strongest person
07:52and not someone who is physically strong.
07:55So you women are emotionally strong
07:57even during your physiological changes that happen every month.
08:01And I respect you people very much for that.
08:04My kind request is, please be safe.
08:06Moreover, try to go out in groups or avoid going out in night alone.
08:11And please be yourself only around people you trust most.
08:15Learn basic fighting skills or running to evade from people
08:19or call your peers immediately for help.
08:23Even if you find someone among us losing control
08:26in the form of anger, rage, hate, lust.
08:30Stay away from them till they become normal.
08:33In the end, we need to protect ourselves right.
08:36We cannot explain right and wrong to strangers.
08:38We need to just stay away.
08:40So please run away from the strangers that bark at night.
08:44Don't confront them or don't console them.
08:46It's your life. Please be safe.
08:48I feel ashamed to say but we cannot expect drastic changes in this generation.
08:53So let's make a better future for our future generation
08:56by raising our kids well and teaching them how to control their hormones
09:01and strict monitoring of media should be done
09:04and strict laws should be implemented to punish those who do these illegal acts
09:08and all these would reduce the incidents
09:11and will be a relieving factor in preventing a man becoming a monster.
09:15As a strict believer of science, let's try to build a more accurate nation
09:20rather than dreaming for an ideal nation.
09:23It's a disease that cannot be eradicated but incidents can be reduced.
09:27Jai Hind.
