कांग्रेस नेता पवन खेड़ा ने आईएएनएस से बातचीत करते हुए कानपुर के पास हुए रेल हादसे को लेकर प्रतिक्रिया देते हुए कहा कि लगातार रेल हादसे बढ़ते ही जा रहे हैं बार बार कहा जाता है कि एक कवच लगा रखा है रेल गाड़ियों पर, तो ये कवच क्या काम करता है कौन सी कंपनी ने यह कवच दिया है, क्या सारी ट्रेन्स पर कवच लगा हुआ है ? रेल की सुरक्षा और सुविधाएं लगातार घटती जा रही हैं और रेल यात्रियों की चिंता बढ़ती जा रही हैं। कोलकाता के अस्पताल में महिला डॉक्टर के साथ हुई दरिंदगी के कारण डॉक्टरों की हड़ताल को लेकर पवन खेड़ा ने कहा कि हॉस्पिटल की हड़ताल तोड़ फोड़ की वजह से नहीं बल्कि कोलकाता में हुए रेप और हत्या की वजह से हो रही है तोड़फोड़ करने वालों की पहचान सरकार जरूर कर रही होगी और पुलिस उन पर सख्त कार्रवाई करेगी। डॉक्टर्स अपनी सुरक्षा को लेकर चिंता में हैं और हम उनकी चिंता में उनके साथ हैं अगर हम डॉक्टर्स को सुरक्षा नहीं दे पा रहे हैं तो जाहिर सी बात है उन्हें अपनी ड्यूटी सही ढंग से निभाने में दिक्कत आएगी। वहीं भारत और बांग्लादेश की तुलना पर उन्होंने कहा कि भारत और बांग्लादेश की तुलना नहीं की जा सकती भारत के लोकतंत्र की नींव पंडित जवाहर लाल नेहरु, सरदार पटेल, बाबा साहब भीमराव अम्बेडकर और महात्मा गांधी ने रखी है। इसके अलावा उदयपुर की घटना को लेकर भी पवन खेड़ा ने प्रतिक्रिया दी।
