00:08prices and fuel and dollar shortages that have disrupted the country's economy.

00:13They banged pans and pots, calling on the government to find solutions to the economic

00:19crisis.

00:20The shortages have led to long queues at petrol stations and complaints from transportation

00:26and logistics companies that the crisis has hampered their operations.

00:50Bakers in El Alto said there is not enough of flour supply as the government announced

00:55that it is allowing the import of wheat, including flour and grain, with zero tariff

01:01until the end of December this year to guarantee supply to the market.

01:20Bolivia spends about US$800 million annually to import half of the gasoline it requires

01:25for domestic consumption and up to 80% of its diesel supplies, primarily from neighboring

01:32South American nations.

01:34Since 2023, dollar transactions in Bolivia have been irregular and banking institutions

01:40have imposed restrictions on financial transactions conducted in dollars, leading to the emergence

01:46of the black market.
