Surveillance videos show 6.3 magnitude earthquake shaking Taiwan

A 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck 34 km off the eastern city of Hualien, Taiwan, with no immediate reports of damage. This was the second significant tremor to hit the island in less than a day.

Weather officials have warned of aftershocks that could reach up to magnitude 5.5 in the coming days. Around a dozen earthquakes have been recorded near Hualien since the major tremor this morning.
